Its kind of hard to rate this item because i havent had it long. It does work however, i use it for security cams.

easy setup, reasonable price. I bought this hard drive for my 16 year old son who wanted to assemble his own desktop computer. We searched around and found this hard drive to be the best for its price. My son has assembled his computer now and he is very happy with what we had bought.

After microsoft did an unwanted update to my window 7 desktop computer, it would not boot. I purchased a new hard drive, removed the old drive and installed the new drive, then loaded Ubuntu Linux to replace microsoft. It's been working with no problems.

Product worked great out of the box. Appreciated the WD software that let me image my old drive to new. even though PC itself is old, feel good that i have my stuff on the new drive, should i need to drop it into another machine.

i am very pleased with Western Digital. i used the 1 TB external hard drive to back up my current hard drive running on Windows Vista. I am upgrading my computer to run windows 8.1. The interface worked well and was very easy to understand. i had to transfer information in smaller increments because i was still using 2.0 usb transfer. Great product, great price...and Best Buy matched a lower price that was advertised on a competitors web site!

Was super easy and fairly cheap to fix my broken computer by replacing the harddrive with this one. My only wish now that it is done and in use is that I would of gotten the hard drive made for performance due to the fact I do a lot with pictures and my kids do a lot of games over the internet.

Owned for two months with no issues so far. Computer crashed and this was the replacement. Lots of storage.

This was bought to upgrade an older PC because the 250GB started developing bad sectors. Got everything cloned over successfully and have tons of free space now. I always buy WD HDDs and caught a great sale price just after Black Friday in the process.

After 6 years with my current computer, my hard drive crashed. I was looking into purchasing a new computer when a Best Buy employee suggested a new hard drive. I am glad I listened! Turns your computer into a brand new computer!

I got from BestBuy in an exchange deal to fill a drive slot in my HP gaming PC. It fit without any flaw. Although BestBuy charged me $49.99 for this which is now $39.99. Also it didn't come with a SATA wire which is no much expensive but it should be included with the drive.

It was easy to swap out with the OEM Seagate initially installed in my HP Pavilion. It just happened to die a few days after one-year warranty expired so I went with WD which never disappoints! So far, so good. Runs better than Seagate did and no issues to report.

This drive met and exceeded my expectations and needs. It did not need any configuration prior to initial use and only had to be plugged in to find the plug & play capability. Its sturdy housing makes me believe it could withstand at least some bouncing and bumping.

I needed a new hard drive because the factory installed drive in my desktop computer was filled up. Installation was a breeze and using the WD copy software made trasfering my files a breeze. My new drive works great and would buy another one if I ever needed to buy one.

This drive is just I needed to upgrade the much needed space for my computer. It was easy to install and use the software for file transferring to the new drive. I would surely by this brand again

Have not had time to do the clone on this new drive. However I have three of these drives that have been in service for a few years and haven't had any problems. Western Digital has been a good drive for me.

Always have used Western Digital I love the speed and the performance has exceeded my expectations.

My old SSD died so I needed a replacement drive to put my operating system on. Decided to get this drive, and I am glad I did. While it does not have the speed of an ssd, it is still a rather nice drive. Pretty standard speed, and decent disk drive space for the price.
