WD quality as expected good access speeds for a HDD and 64MB cache make it a good performing drive. Newvr had issues with WD drives in years of using/installing them cannot say the same for other manufacturers that I have dealt with.

Can't say too much about this internal SATA hard drive other than I hope it doesn't fail prematurely. Western Digital drives apparently have a decent reliability rating. Needed a replacement internal hard drive for a desktop computer right away, and by purchasing it at store, I over paid because a cheaper online purchase would have taken a few extra days, which I didn't have.

Great Product for a Great Price! The size of the hard drive is amazing. After installation of the new hard drive - the performance of my computer was great. I would highly recommend this product to anyone. Matter of fact, my son will be purchasing one also.

I was told by a knowledgeable friend that problems I was having with my computer could be my hard drive getting ready to go out. He recommended this product which I got installed and it has made a difference in my computer.

The drive works great once I was able to clone my existing drive. The Acronis software that was supplied with the drive would not clone my hard drive because I have a RAID controller. Had to use Clonezilla which I got for free off the internet.

This is a reliable and affordable hard drive. 1 TB was perfect as a replacement for upgrading the operating system on my desktop computer.

I've had the drive about a month now and I have not had any problems with it. I am using as a secondary storage drive with an SSD as my boot. This WD installed right into the system and I've had no problems with it. I knocked off a star because there is no mounting hardware other than screws and no sata cable, and best buy's prices on sata cables is higher than they should be.

Great performance for the price. Easy to install. Highly recommend it.

Basic hard drive and average size storage space. There are faster and more reliable but the 'Mainstream' version is best for typical consumer use. If you are running Windows 10, using a SSD instead of a standard hard drive is a must. Use this for file storage instead of boot device.

Bought this drive to replace the one in our security DVR. The old drive had died and this one is so much faster. We will see how well it holds up to the rigors of being in a security system.

Western Digital stands behind their products and their products endure for the long run. This hard drive replaced my last non Western Digital hard drive which was newer than most of my Western Digitals. Data is priceless, I trust mine to Western DIgital!

Depending on your storage/application needs this drive could be the ticket. Since it's "only" a 1TB drive it's not the budget buster that the 6TB and up drives are. If you don't need to store tons of videos or tens of thousands of songs this will do the trick. It's not as speedy as an SSD but would be more ideal for a storage disk with an SSD for a system disk.

Looked up the information online for this harddrive. There are so many choices. It did come down to this, I have used Western Digital for quite some time. Very reliable and this is the same. It was on sale and in just the right price range.

My hard drive was failing. Took my computer to a Best Buy and the Geek Squad replaced it and transferred my data from my old drive to my new one. It was done and ready before their projected completion time. Works great!

They were able to find a replacement hard-drive for my older desktop computer for a very reasonable price. I have the Geek Squad Protection Plan which has saved me many times over.

Added it to my dvr, and seems to work great. Cameras are recording with no issues.

Much faster than my old hard drive. Took a couple of hours to clone the old drive but most of that time was spent letting it do the work by itself. Go ahead and buy this and speed up your computer.
