Bought to replace an eight-year-old drive that failed. Good performance considering the low price. I am constantly impressed with Western Digital hard disk drives with their quality and longevity.

I installed the hard drive in a Dell Inspiron 531 Desktop which I installed Windows Vista on. The Western Digital Hard drive worked perfectly out of the box.

My hard drive had crashed and had to be replaced. This one was in stock and reasonable priced. It was definitely what I needed at the time and continues to work well today.

Originally purchased as a replacement for my iMac. I found out that the problem was the video card not the hard drive so I bought an enclosure and now I use the hard drive to as a backup.

My PC's hard drive was defective. I bought this Western Digital 1TB hard drive and reinstall Windows 10. It is a very good drive with plenty of storage capacity for what I use it for.

Replaced on my company computer and runs excellent and outstanding performance for a point-of-sale computer that never turns off. Waited a few months before this review to test this product.

Bought this for a friend. He's had it for a couple months with no issues. He needed a drive to store his video game library to relieve space on his raptor drive. It's great for storing music, pictures, and movies too.

Great price for a 1TB internal drive. You can use these blue drives as your main system drive but I suggest using it as a data drive and getting faster WD Black drives as your main system drive.

Drive installed easily in desktop as backup. Although box said backup software was included, it was not and drive had to be recognized and formatted prior to use. Not unusual in today's marketplace where box or vendor descriptions are promised but rarely delivered. The drive performs correctly, is fast and quiet.

Got this for my gaming PC fit right in and easy to use

I was updating an old computer and installing this hard drive as a second drive for storage. When I upgraded Windows the original hard drive crashed and died . The WD 1TB became the main drive. The old drive never was as quiet or as fast as the new one. Now if it will last 8 years like the old one remains to be seen

This is probably one of the best options for a general use hard disk drive. Western Digital has great reliability on their consumer grade drives - I have one that has been running for 7+ years of spin time.

These are great for RAID setups and perform well as data storage devices. Not recommended for OS drive on a gaming machine but if that's all you have then it's proficient for any job.

This was exactly what I needed to replace the original hard drive that failed on my desktop. The hard drive was easy to install and to get running.

Product has been working great in my desktop for the past several years. Just upgraded to a larger HDD and will be using this one with an enclosure.

This particular drive as with most now days are time-tested, so are stable and reliable. The price point is right in the middle of where it should be, not too high, possibly a little on the low side. Spin up time was good, only time will tell with regard to longevity. A good choice in a replacement drive.
