Can't go wrong with a WD HDD!

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Although many are moving to SSD there is a dirty little secret- SSD can only be written and read a fixed number of times before problems start. There are algorithms in how the data is stored that change write locations so this is not a big problem, but it requires you to keep a good deal of your SSD open. Easy answer is to drop in a HDD such as this one and keep your large files there freeing up SSD to handle your OS and applications. I like to use two HDDs so the important files can be in two places.

A pleasant surprise was access to software which allows you clone your old drive to the new one. Easy to use and worked flawlessly.

Decent drive for things other than games
