Great hard drive that I added to my desktop PC for extra storage at a good price.

A lot of people talk smack about WD, then again, they talk smack about Seagate as well. I've never had any problems with WD hard drives, and it's been a year now, and this one is working just fine.

Replaced a 7 year old drive that was running with a fairly new motherboard and getting noisy. Saw big improvement.. I used Free Macrium Reflect to image old disk and restored the image to the new drive, went without a hitch.

My pc harddrive died and the pc would no longer function or bootup windows. This hard drive is great bang for the buck and has plenty of storage for all of my music, movies and pictures. Highly recommend!

Great product for the price 7200 rpm drive wd are what was in computer lasted three years

Don't get me wrong the hard drive is probably excellent however I purchased it to replace a dying hard drive in an iMac and it apparently doesnt have a sensor built in to control the fan like the OEM apple drives so we have some 3rd party software running that does ok but not great. Wish I would have know that earlier and I wouldnt have gotten the apple drive.

I have been working with computers for over 20 years. Western Digital drives have always been the best in quality and durability.

Decent hdd good for every day booting up but it's probably best to get a better one for storage

Been using Western Digital for many years now. Have hardly ever had any issues with them and of course, this is no exception. If you are looking for a hard drive, look no further, as I've depended on these drives for many years.

I was originally going to get a larger ssd because I was nervous that a hard drive wouldn't be fast enough for my use. Hesitantly I went for it, and was pleasantly surprised with how well it held up with my gaming.

WD - Mainstream 1TB Internal Serial ATA Hard Drive for Desktops... This hard drive saved my wife's new computer (not purchased at B.Buy...my mistake), whos drive crashed within a yr. It works like a charm!

WD drives have never let me down. True, they do quit after years of use like any drive, but I think they are the best drive out there. This installed and worked perfectly and I know it will last.

Never had problems with WD drives past or present. Blue and Mainstream seem to be the same drive and they do what they claim. 3 builds with these specific drives and on 2 they're the main drive and preform exactly how they're suppose to. They're not the fastest but if you want fastest you wont be buying HDD. You'd buy SSD.

Originally went to the store to buy a 500gb HDD, but at the time the 1TB was on sale for just a little bit more so it was a no brainier. Opened box, installed in computer and installed operating system with no problems. Would buy again!

After having problems with my Desktop hp comp. I had a new WD Mainstream 1TB Intenal serial ATA Hard Drive. Installed .It' works great now . But since its only been a couple of months I didn't give it 5 stars .Only because my fitth star would be on product usage at which time it's to soon to rate it But over all its working like new .
