The carton had the required hardware to mount the drive and it installed and fired up immediately. The free proprietary software available online made cloning the drive effortless.

Works great! Bought this to replace the damaged hard drive in an old computer and it has been working for two months now.

I haven't owned this drive all that long, not even a month yet so it's a little early to tell about the longevity of the drive. I bought this drive to replace a failing boot drive in an older computer. I had no issues at all cloning the old drive to this new one. This WD Drive is quite responsive in the old computer (bought it in 2005), it could be my imagination but it does seem as if programs open quicker now. I own several internal and external Western Digital drives, some as old as 10-12 years old and they are still operational. If the older drives provide any indication of the life of this new drive, I'm sure I will be pleased as always with WD products.

I recently had an issue with my previous hard drive. I took it into the geek squad and they advise me that I needed a new one. They suggested this one so I ended up purchasing it. So far it's been a great hard drive and it gives me enough space to store all my files. Overall I am a happy customer.

This product does the job and provides a good amount of memory space. I am not really the best person to talk about the computer stuff that is my husbands area but for me it has worked out well.

WD hard drives have always proven best in the low cost arena. Can't remember any failures through the years. The only drives to use for NAS.

For a good price, it does everything it needs to do, and as described. Nothing special to say about it, but nothing bad, either.

Works great still running fine a quiet. The only problem I had was that it didn't come with any drive bay attachments so I had to just screw it to the side of my case. Other than that it works fine.

After losing a hard drive I made this purchase at Best Buy. The price was just right and the size was compatible with my desktop system. I has been flawless and very quiet.
