It's a hard drive. It's not silent, but not loud. It's plenty big to store your data. The cost is fair. Stop thinking, just get it. If you are looking at a new HDD, this is the one you want.

I'd take a Western Digital drive over Seagate any day. The mainstream is their budget line drives and they are very reliable, just make sure you are buying the right drive for what you want it to do. The different color drives do mean different performance. Still these are great drives for the price.

Best Buy installed a new hard drive after the original failed. I was able to recover most data and pictures and copy all to the new drive. My computer is faster and functioning better than when new.

I have been using WD replacement hard drives for 15 years.. always solid. very few failures. And they include free clone software. Great Deal as always

Not my best choice but there wasn't any Seagate on the shelves. Works as intended and does what it supposed to. I have a liking of Seagate not because they may or may not be better but because they have been around longer. Good product none-the-less and I will be buying more without fail if I need another one..
