I bought this hard drive to replace the Seagate drive that came in the computer. The drive seems to run great (it's hard to gauge a drive until it dies). But it is worth noting that the drive cloning software that came with it had the following problems: 1) Software does not run on Windows 10 2) Will not run unless a Western Digital drive is connected to the system* * Note: This was a problem because I tried to use another computer to create an image of the bad hard drive (which would not boot), and then copy that image on the new drive...but the software refused to run for making the image because I did not have a western digital drive connected (because I had the failing Seagate drive connected). I got around this problem using some great free tools that can be downloaded from the internet for cloning hard drives

Definitely impressed with my new hard drive! Lots of space for all my stuff, and transfers data quickly. Definitely recommend!

Western Digital has always been a solid product. If you need a good internal hard drive I recommend Western Digital, they will never steer you Wrong!

Cheap and inexpensively priced solid drive worth the money

When you need a HDD in a hurry and the price is right, Best Buy had what i needed.

I have purchased other brands that were defective right out of the box, but the Western Digital products work. Western Digital is my choice brand!

I had a system crash and replaced my black series with a blue series since it was the only one in stock. I was surprise at how well it performs.

This hard drive, while not the fastest thing out there, seems to be very reliable so far. The only issue I had with it is that my computer didn't recognize this drive initially. The problem wasn't hard to deal with but the instructions were no help.

WD makes an OK hard drive. I'm sure others would argue with me on this point by saying they are the long time standard-bearer of hard drives. My overall issue is its energy management software. In short, all Western Digital drives spin down much too quickly and take themselves off-line. Overall, it's not a terrible trait. It's just annoying when you leave the drive alone for 5 minutes, it spins down and then interrupts your workflow when you call on it and it needs to spin back up. I prefer Seagate's Barracuda line.

I use this as a second drive on my pc, it stores as it should. I know it says hard drive, but it’s just misunderstood :-)
