Simple, cheap

I'm sure others would argue with me on this point by saying they are the long time standard-bearer of hard drives. My overall issue is its energy management software. In short, all Western Digital drives spin down much too quickly and take themselves off-line. Overall, it's not a terrible trait. It's just annoying when you leave the drive alone for 5 minutes, it spins down and then interrupts your workflow when you call on it and it needs to spin back up. I prefer Seagate's Barracuda line.

I have had one of these hard drives for almost a decade and it operates without any issues. Also has pretty decent load times for a non-SSD.

Great storage for a new PC

Smooth Drive Great Price

It worked great but a friend of mine recommended an SSD drive. Once I try to SSD Drive, it was history. This Hard DRive is great if you don't mind the boot up time.
