I use these for backups with a USB drive dock. (I don't trust the USB cases that they put on drives. I have gotten burned before and you can't stack them.) They work well. I would prefer a 4TB SSD, but they are not affordable yet and most places don't carry them. These are not super fast, but they make excellent daily use drives. If you are wanting something fast you should be using an SSD or a RAID or a RAID of SSDs.

The drive is used as a secondary, mainly storage. Has worked excellent and had no flaws.

This is great deal on a perfect way to back up all your important files. I have added 2 external hard drives and feel a lot safer in my storage options now. This was very easy to install and setup and was running in just a few minutes. It is and easy plug in set up.

Decent hard drive at a decent price. I swear I've had better luck with the seagate drives and I wish Best Buy still carried both WD and Seagate in store. I know they're all supposed to be made in the same place and rebranded but in my experience the Seagates fail less often. We've had huge issues lately with the WD externals. This internal seems to be ok so far.

I'm using this in a repurposed computer being used as a media server. I've used it for several weeks now and it works flawlessly. I've actually never had a problem with a Western Digital mechanical hard drive whether it be a blue label or a black label.
