    solid drive (got a few of them) for external nas storage. I did not need fast read write speeds since it was only for storage usage and these work great. .

    purchased this drive to add to my backup raid array. The drive has worked flawlessly for several weeks now. Note that like most desktop drives these days a SATA cable is not included.

    I operate a home server more or less as a hobby. It's forcing me to learn Linux but it also challenges other technical abilities, which isn't a bad thing. The server has over 15 drives in it so I expect occasional failures. This unit was purchased as a replacement. I try to buy replacement drives that are larger and faster than those being replaced. This unit will replace a 2TB, 5400 rpm device.
