It is a spin drive and has run ok. Using for backup of my 2 ssd 1T drives in a desktop. It is not the fastest but for a spin, it is ok.

This is a 4 Terra Byte hard drive in a tower computer. The drive read/write speed is noticeably faster than the unit it replaced. Windows 10 just set it up as a single drive and loaded up the OS with minimal setup on my part. This thing just works.

Western Digital brand has always been reliable for me, it keeps my sensitive data well protected in WD high quality standards. Just remember to always keep your pc cool so that the hard disk receives good airflow.

Bought 3 of these. The first one was dead out of the box and locked up my computer and would not format. I returned it and the second one was fine. Decided to but a third one and that one was fine too. I've used a lot of western digital drives so that one was probably just a fluke.

Western Digital has been my go to company for hard drives and they have never let me down. Other drives have crashed and lost very important data but Western Digital besides being a great bargain has excellent quality control.

Used this for my time machine backups on my MacBook Pro max M1. It's the perfect combination to archive.

As expected. Comes in retail packaging with WD 2 year warranty. No point in getting anything other than Blue unless you're getting WD Red Pro or better.
