I've owned several Western Digital hard drives over the years and have always been pleased with them. This one is not that fast but great for storage at this price.

inexpensive way to add internal (or external with a case) large storage for backups

I purchased this drive because I needed something cheap to house media files on my Linux server. Installed without a hitch and just works. Shorter warranty than western digital's more expensive Black series drives but I'm fine with that.

Had to increase my storage for my large music library, so far seems to be working fairly fast for moving through the various music files, have had no issues for the first 2 months of it working in my PC.

Bought for a backup storage drive on my PC. I have always had good luck with WD blue drives. Got it on sale. They are a good value and reliable.

This is a great drive. I needed some extra storage space and had too many external drives, so I bought this one to clean up my desk. It works great!

These drives are very reliable and were delivered on schedule. The only thing I might suggest is to add more padding/packing in the shipping box to prevent possible damage to the product.

At a $60 price point, I'd have to say this is an amazing deal. Just a couple years ago, a 1 TB 7200rpm HDD was $55, and now you can get 4x the storage for basically the same price which is crazy. Sure, it's only 5400rpm but it's more than enough as a drive to store photos and movies, or even as a game drive. If you're looking to build a PC and need more than 1TB of storage, I highly recommend pairing this drive with ~500GB of flash storage as a boot drive and commonly used programs with a ton of extra storage on this 4TB.

I bought this drive to replace a failing 2GB Seagate drive. Performance is very good. Installation was straightforward. Price was great! My preference has always been Western Digital.

Works great, exactly what I needed for a reasonable price. Converted to an external drive and provides a nice portable, large capacity back up.

Best storage for the $ I could find. Needed to upgrade my PC due to increased video storage. This fit the need exactly. Seems to be fast and was extremely easy to set up.
