These drives are really reliable but super-slow. I didn't realize it was that slow until I actually used them. Currently they are now sitting on a shelf as they are not useful do to their speed limitations v/s the power consumption.

bought this to backup data and it is the second of its kind that I bought now. hasnt failed me yet so that is a good thing. Id rather buy my Hard Drives in Store than online becuase you never know how they are treated during shipping. And BB price matches soits a win win

The hard drive was on sale for a great price. Picked it up and I am very happy with it.

No problems with drive. Good speed. Remember, internal HDs are not auto detected. You must go into "Disk management" to find, format, and partition your new drive. Also, if used as a primary drive, you must go into the BIOS to tell the computer where to start loading Windows.

It is relatively silent comparing to WD black and works ok for my everyday data drive.

This worked perfectly with my computer and setup was easy, no issues.

This hard drive was a nice buy. It was on sale. I like the storage size. I plan on using it for my file backups. I want to get away from using the cloud for storage and this will be a nice size.

My surveillance system 1T drive failed. This drive is 4x the size and WD has a good track record with me. Pretty much plug and play. I did have to upgrade to a higher amp power supply because this drive used a bit more, IE the unit would not stay powered on.

Excellent hard drive for the money and for what I needed it for. I only needed a hard drive to store media on. Pictures & Digital movies to play through a home network.

I always have good luck using western digital hard drives. Great value for what you get.

Easy install, would be nice if it came with a cable

I found this at BestBuy when needing to add local storage for files. I find that it is quiet, it is fast, and it works very well on the USB port on my router to be used by all network users as needed.

I purchase these drives for use on DVRs and NVRs and they work great! I want to say I’ve had better luck these outliving the hard drives designed for surveillance.
