I personally used the hard drive to complete a NAS setup. The drives actually performed faster than expected. Excellent product. It also gives you access to other WD software for cloning, etc.

Perfect 2nd drive for backing up all your files, muisc, programs, even games. A lot storage. Great price. Not ment to be your only drive since theres way faster options, but for a 2nd or 3rd back up storage! Perfect!

The WD Blue 4TB is a reliable, budget-friendly internal hard drive ideal for general storage needs. It’s quiet, easy to install, and great for everyday use—just watch for SMR vs. CMR versions.

Great price from bestbuy and fast shipping as usual. Western digital hard drives are solid and reliable. This is a decent hard drive , not crazy fast as an ssd but you get more space for the money. Had drives last for years from WD under continuous use.

Great drive for general storage and backups

I am a media digital junkie, and a lot of the media I need to store are offline backups that I only need access to at certain times. These WD Blue Drives are great for just that. I purchased a hardshell case that has hard drive slots cut out in the foam, and I have bought several of these WD Blue drives for offline back up. When i need to access data on them, I pop them into a USB 3.0 hard drive docking station and the content is right there like a giant flash drive. The WD Blue hard drives drives are my go to for backups and content that does not need a high read/write speed. For the higher speed content, or if you are looking for gaming drives, I would always recommend SSDs. If SSDs are out of your budget, try the WD Black hard drives, as they have higher read/write speeds.

I like having as much storage as possible. You can never have enough of it for all sorts of data, most importantly backups! While the WD Blue drives aren't quite as good as the Reds for NAS type storage, they are more than capable of handling general computer work load, especially since computer gaming isn't really my thing.

I purchased this drive to backup my very large video projects. Works well and am looking to purchase another one very soon. Can't beet the 4TB of storage you get for the price. Have no issues with the drive what so ever.

Got this on sale for around $50 or so, pretty good value. I know there is a problem with some hdd being better than others, but this one works well for just storing large game files for me.

Easy to install. Good price. Will NOT work on older mother boards (pre-2009 or so) as drive 0 at full capacity and you will not be able to partition it into smaller drivers in Windows 10. Can be used as a drive other than boot to get full capacity.

I use a handful of WD Blue hard drives for storage of our extensive collection of family photos and videos. They have all outlived their warranty period. I'd never rely on a single copy of data, but these drives work great for storing my files. A true rating on this precise purchase would require me to rate this product a few years out from purchase date, but my experience in the first weeks is excellent.

Great basic drive for storing videos. I have a NAS on the side with WD RED drives but this works fine for storing video collection, emulation and non vital data. Also cant beat the value.

So far so good easy install, use it as external with J5 Create case. Installed some games on it and it runs smoothly with no problem. Time will tell if it will last also use to put the recorded game for it. I use it for gaming.

Great drive, use it in my plex server. Took about 10 minutes to install and partition. I have had other brands but last one lasted about 2 years. I expect a lot more time than that. Will let you know the longevity. Did I say it was cheap.
