Still practical to own and use

I use them for simple mass data storage (pics, music). Also usually have one in a gaming PC, really helps with a large Steam library. Games might not load as fast, but most still play the same with little or no slowdowns during game play.

A good drive for storage

(I don't trust the USB cases that they put on drives. I have gotten burned before and you can't stack them.) They work well. I would prefer a 4TB SSD, but they are not affordable yet and most places don't carry them. These are not super fast, but they make excellent daily use drives. If you are wanting something fast you should be using an SSD or a RAID or a RAID of SSDs.
