This has been a great affordable backup solution for photos/videos while on vacations.

purchased to use with xbox one x the console recognized it immediately and has worked fine

-fast write and read speed over USB 3.0 -small form factor for a 4TB drive -was not recognized on my Amazon Fire TV, but worked fine on most other devices I have, that have more power available for USB -excellent value for portable storage

I have a few os these md back ups there great to have and super easy to cary

The drive works well, like it should. It would be nice to have higher speed and rounded corners.

I have a ton of things I need to take with me when I travel and 4 TBs fits everything!

Great. This is my 3rd hard drive from WD. Very good in usage & excellent after sale services from WD regarding warranty. But these new version Hard Drives from WD are not supporting smart TVs, where as old versions used to work seamlessly.

I still haven't been able to load info onto it, as I'm waiting for a transfer cord, but I like the privacy of being able to password everything. Note: you need to go online to download the instructions. They don't come with.

Ive had several WD over the years, almost all of them still working. This drive continues that tradition. It's a little bit bigger than the drives under 4Tb. Not that I set out to do a drop test, but first thing out of the box it fell about 3 feet. Still worked and still does. The speed seems pretty good, as fast as many of my other drives, but then again the device is limited by my laptop that is at least 4 years old.

I recently bought the external hard drive. There are things that I didn’t want on our server but wanted to have access at my fingertips. This works perfect and is password protected. I highly recommend this product.

This HD is used daily and never fails. Plenty of storage space, slim design.

I went planning to get a smaller drive. When I saw this one for $100 I couldn't resist. WD is a reputable brand for hard drives. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this again, even though it is way more space than I need right now.

I've had Passports before with no issue, so after trying to unsuccessfully trying to set up a backup I called Western Digital. They finally said that sometimes the software can't recognize the unit. They offered an exchange. Best Buy won't do it because it was past their stingy 15 days. So I will mail it to WD for the exchange and try again.

This is my replacement of WD - My Passport external HD. My first one was 2TB, but it only worked for 2 years before it failed completely. I lost all backup data, because I could not access the HD or even open it. I used it as a time machine to backup data. The new one is a similar model but 4TB. So far, it works well and hope it will keep working!

Satisfied with the performance and works great with Mac OS.
