Good compact storage

As a test I used them to offload data from 2, 4gb drives before repurposing them for NAS use. Not the fastest drives but about equal to my 2tb WD Element and Toshiba drives. Used first as formatted ntfs with Linux Mint 18.2. Then second drive formatted to Ext4 without difficulty. Some 20% faster with Linux that way due to Linux slowness with ntfs. Filled both drives twice without problems/errors.

A nice little external drive

Any software needed is automatically updated in your computer when it's plugged in. It works as promised. Very satisfied. I do not use this drive for auto back ups so I can't comment on that feature.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.When i was looking at external hard drives for my ps4 i opted to go with the 4TB Western Digital and boy am I glad I did. Considering the price difference between a 2TB and 4TB was only about $20 i figured id go with the 4TB. Now after having owned it for a while I've got nearly 200 games downloaded onto it and I've barely used over 2TB which means i still won't have to worry about running out of space anytime soon!
