User friendly, easy to use and incredibly affordable!

For the price, it is a value. Small and easy plug and play.

I’ve owned 20+ portable 2.5” external hard drives over the last 10 years. Only one failed and it was not a Western Digital. I don’t care how cheap other brands are because reliability is #1 when needing to protect my data. This hard drive is no exception. It’s fast and reliable. Highly recommended!

Great color, small and compact, easy to travel with

Got this baby to replace a 2TB for the Xbox One that was rapidly reaching maximum capacity - think I spent $70 for that one and I got this one on sale for $99 - twice the storage for an extra $30? Any day. Nearly silent, does its job quickly enough. Great for gaming systems or obviously anyone looking for mass storage.

This is a great high capacity external drive at a good price.

I was tossing back and forth between the 4TB drive for 109, of the 2TB drive for PlayStation for 90. After asking a friend, they said the formatting of the drive for PlayStation was as easy as plugging it in, selecting the right options, and waiting 5 minutes. I know have room for more games than I play. Well worth the price.

This model works well with older windows 7 and new windows 10 computers. I personally don't like the look but that's just aesthetics and the price was right - cheaper than BestBuy exclusive WD model "easystore" with same specs but lesser security. No logic to me why Best Buys "Easy Store" model with same specs is MORE money especially since most references say the easy store model actually has less security features and maybe was supposed to be the less expensive model. In any case this one does what it's supposed to do. I use other backup software though because I dont like that wd software does not have "regular" explorer browsing of files. Cobian is still a decent freebie or I use Windows backup if I don't want/ need non-proprietary file access. Its also quite fine to use simply as external storage with or without automated back-up.

Very useful for when you need to make a backup of your files, especially with newer laptops coming with less built in memory. Speed is pretty good and I haven't had any corrupted file issues like I have with past Seagate devices (although I can't say much about the newer models). Might have to come back for more!

Had very little problems getting started with this portable storage device. If you need to back up a lot of pictures or even gaming storage this is a good buy.

Love the size and being able to use this on my xbox one to triple my space and be portable without the use of an external plug. A must have for any xbox user!
