Have a new IMac and bought this for backup, partitioned the unit into two drives one for the time machine and one for pictures both at 1 terabyte.with the IMac it was so easy

Typically, our My Passport for Mac drives come preformatted for MacOS, but they can be reformatted if used on a different system.
