I outfitted my house with (6) Belkin Net Cams to keep watch on my house while out of town. These worked great. Had net cam in basement to monitor furnace, water heater and water meter. At night, dark area was too large to be viewed with camera night vision. So I installed the WeMo light switch to turn on lights in basement, to allow me to view area at night. Then I use the same cell phone app to turn light off.

Use this switch to control heat tape on the roof of our vacation home. Instead of having the heat tape on 24/7, which was generating enormous electric bills, we now can turn it on remotely only when we know there is snow on the roof (as seen via a security camera). FYI, the electrician connected this switch to a "coil". The coil bears the high amp load of the heat tape. When the switch is on the coil gets activated, which in turn activates the heat tape. Likewise, when the switch is off the coil is deactivated and the heat tape turns off. This was a great option for us to turn the heat tape on and off from our primary residence (or anywhere else, for that matter). Giving 4 stars only because we have only had it for a few weeks and not yet sure of the long term effectiveness...

This is a great switch if you want to control Lights from your device yet the switch on the wall is functional unlike some smart bulb solutions. It just works , reliably, very happy! My second switch. It was as easy to install as my first

As a light switch it works great, and looks great on the wall. The phone software is not that great. If Belkin would fix the software to work on more devices this item would have a 5 stars review. I find it odd that Belkin cant make there software work on more devices but I can go online and find 3rd party apps that work even better.

Switch was fairly easy to install. Have an older home. Easter set up. A little buggy though.

Easy to install and setup the app works great as long as you have a good internet connection

I think this product is pretty good, however, there are a few tweaks that are needed to make it great. There have been times where I have had to reset the device in order for it to connect to my WIFI network at home. The distance between the device and my WIFI is a few feet if even, so its not a range thing. Other than that the product works great and the app is a bit heavy on the eyes (personal preference).

Awesome switch. We had exterior lights that were controlled from two switches, one in the entryway and one in the garage, and we wanted to conveniently control them both at the same time. Easy to install in if you have minimal experience with electrical wiring. No extra hub or bridge needed which saves $. The app is pretty good and easy to use too, we set our lights to go on at sunset and off at sunrise, which the app bases on your location so it stays updated as the season change all year. You can also turn the lights on/off from the app or at the switch itself. We spent about $100 on two, but we always get to come home to our outside light on no matter what.

Light switch works perfectly as advertised. One setup issue was Samsung S4 phone used for setup was set to Auto Network Switch. This caused the phone to switch from the WeMo to the home network before the setup was complete. WeMo setup then hangs forever. Setting the S4 phone to NOT Auto Network Switch during WeMo setup solved the problem and setup worked without any problems.

Great app and well designed switch. Easy to install and work well. I have replaced about 8 of them very easily. They also work with Alexa so to turn all of them on or off just speak to Alexa.
