Works well if you have modern electrical wiring. You need to have a neutral AND ground for this to work. Most of my switches wired with old fabric wrapped without a ground, so it doesn't work there. I did get this to work in the newer parts of the house or where I pulled new lines. I configured it to work with OpenHAB and LIRC so it can be controlled with an infrared remote in addition to the WeMo app.

Relatively easy to install, and does what it supposed to do.

Great starter product for your smart home. Some handyman skills needed. If you have a 2 or 3 switch set up in the wall, all the wall switch covers are compatible make sure you get a plastic one. Note: your router has to be at close range.

Works great for being able to turn lights on/off remotely. Be mindful that the back of the switch is much larger than a regular light switch and may require a larger wall box to fit once all the wires are attached.

As far as a normal lights switch goes it's pretty basic. It works great with the Amazon's Alexa. However the size of the switch is large so if you have a newer house the outle hole is going to be next to impossible to to get flush.

I have fallen in love with the WEMO light switches! They are easy to install and set up and they work great with AMAZON ECHO! Home automation made easy! I now have over 10 WEMO switches set up and working with ECHO! Easy Peasy!

I installed this on a light switch in the garage that controls a post light outside. So it is works great to remotely turn it on/off and I also have it run on a timer - on at dusk and off at midnight. Installation is pretty straight forward. It is a white decora switch size/style. It does require a neutral wire (white), so be sure you have this before installing. The phone sfw (I have android) works well. It opens a bit sluggish, but gets the job done. You can set schedules. To my knowledge there is no PC sfw or webpage to control the switch. So you can only do it from your phone. The switch itself works. It is a push button to manually turn on/off. Overall, I'm pleased with it. Saves me trips out into the cold garage to turn the post light on/off. Cons would be the switch squeaks when I press it manually. And the phone software is not polished, like what you get with, for example, Nest.

Wemo switches are great. They blend with other switches. This is in a group with two other non wemo and it’s not intrusive. They sizing is the same and the cover didn’t have to be switched. Wemo is great because it’s a subtle green to let you know when it’s on (this one is an exterior light). But even better is the wemo app and pairing with google. I hardly ever use the actual switch. I’m always asking google to control with switch or using my app. I love that I can have a picture of the light in the wemo app because I now have two wemo switches and two wemo plugs. Great investment, no issues to date with any of their products or connecting to them. Install was easy for the switch and there’s great tutorials on wemo’s website.

House automation keeps getting better. The app works great easy to setup.

It works great! The app is easy to use and easy to link to my Amazon dot. Only difficult thing is getting it and the electrical wires to all fit in the electrical box since this switch is bigger than the switch I replaced.

Performs as suggested. Went off line once, but got back online with no problem.

Before buying this Wall Switch I had a lot of trouble with their devices that you can plug a lamp into it. They kept disconnecting from the wi-fi. After trying numerous times I upgraded from the router provided by AT&T to a Netgear AC1750 which then solved my connectivity issues. So make sure you have a good router that can handle multiple devices on your wi-fi. I have more than 10 devices. This wall switch works very well and is easy to program. It has a constant white light to let you know it is getting power. When the lights outside are on, there is a more prominent green LED that comes on. My house was built around 1990 and it turned out to have the required Neutral Wire, I had an electrician come install it. Originally he was going to install a Neutral Wire..

This item works great. I can iurn my lights on and off from anywhere

I purchased a few of these and they work great. I have them in my laundry room, closets and controlling my exterior lights. Installation is easy. A DIY project for sure if your swapping out existing switches. When placing next to other switches you will need to purchase the correct cover plate. The included one is a single switch. I have the switches in the closets and the laundry room that are set to shut off automatically after 10 minutes if not turned off by the last person in the room. All are connected to my SmartThings Hub and one comes on when the Smartthings motion sensor is activated. The exterior light switch is set to come on at sunset and turn off at midnight. You have tremendous flexibility with the scenarios you can set up on the smartphone apps.

Installation was easy (if you can wire a standard switch, you can install this). It doesn't stay connected to WiFi as well as other brands (I also have some TP link switches in my home and those seem to be much more reliable).
