I purchased this light switch in order to set a timer for my front porch lights. A quick and easy 10 minute installation, and downloading an app and I was ready to go! If you have Basic knowledge of electrical wiring, it should be really easy. Make sure you have a neutral wire before you buy because it requires one. Also of note, is that this will only work on switches that can only be controlled by one switch ( if you can turn off the switch in a room and in the hallway for example it won't work ). Works perfectly!

I now have seven Wemo light switches, some of which are set to go on and off automatically and others that I control by voice command with my Google Home and IFTTT recipes. You can always operate them manually and they revert back to the program on the next cycle. They have operated trouble free since I installed them, some as long as six months ago. Initial setup can be a little tricky, depending on your smartphone and wifi system, but the Wemo website troubleshooting guide walks you through issues.

The install was easy and the setup was even easier. I had the wemo app and Alexa synced in less than 5 minutes after installation.

Was easy to install and easily connects to my router. Went on vacation and What a great feeling that I could control my light from another state Switch was set on a schedule Which I change every day so it operates differently each day .

Works well when it works. I have 5 of these switches and often only 3 or 4 will show up in the WEMO app on my iPhone. The others show to be offline. Also every time I open the WEMO app it asks if I want to do a firmware upgrade. Even if I do the firmware upgrade it will ask again when I open the app 15 minutes later. Sometimes the switch will be stuck in the ON position and I cannot turn off the lights. I have to turn off the breaker to "reboot" the switch so it will work again. Even with these issues I prefer this switch to the timer style switches I used previously. I use these for my outdoor security lights and have them on at sunset and off at sunrise. Programing is easy and have many options.

Love this item. Bought 4 of these for all my outdoor lights. So wonderful to not worry about the floodlights and porch lights again, especially while on vacation. I have full control on my smartphone as well as just setting it to sunrise to sunset. It was easy to install (although the hardest part was stuffing all the wires back into the wall). Set up was fairly easy on my smartphone. The only part I couldn't figure out was setting it to sunset to sunrise, but a simple call to their support center, and it was done.

*I need to add the disclaimer...my wifi may not be optimally set up in the space that I have so connectivity could be a result of user error. Generally these are excellent. They are easy to install (if you know and are comfortable with the basics of wiring) and operate. They work pretty well for the cost and the ability to piecemeal together a home automation solution. If you set them up using IFTTT.com, its an added bonus for the features you can use with the switch. Not sure you want to do some wiring? Just grab the wemo switch and plug in your favorite lamp. No wiring, even easier.

I got this to use for times when no ones home and my pets will have some light in the home or when we don't want to come home to a pitch dark house. Installation was easy and setup was a bit glitch but it works great now. The really AWESOME thing is that you can still control the switch even when you don't have wifi connection on your phone...the 3 or 4G cellular system will connect you to the light via the internet...I didn't realize that when I purchased...

Purchased this to pair it with the home automation setup that I'm doing for my parents. Switch works well, but make sure that there is an available neutral wire in the wall before you start. My original reason for going with WeMo was because of the fact that it was supposed to be paired with the Ring Doorbell Pro that was also setup. The way ring makes it sound is that the light should be fully controllable from the Ring app, but you can't. I'm not sure if this is Belkin's fault or Ring's but either way that's why I'm knocking off a star.

Only problem with this was having to buy so many for each light switch. I wish they sold a value pack. We have one area with three switches in a row, was a little more difficult to install, had to go to Home Depot to buy a cover but in the end looks sleek and worked perfectly especially while we were out on vacation. I really enjoy the different rules you can set up for when the lights turn off or on. Also they work almost instantaneously once you turn them on the app. Easy to sync the lights with the phone app.

I wanted to start using smart technology in my home. With very little experience, and after some research, I took a chance and made this my first smart device. It's a great product for beginners. Wiring instructions were great. Had the switch installed in about 10 minutes. One of the best things about this switch is it does not require a smart hub. You have everything you need in the WeMo smart app to start controlling your on/off features and automation schedules. I now own 3 of these.

Brings peace of mind to the palm of your hand. Being able to control your lights from anywhere you are, from your phone or tablet is nice. The set up is just like any other light switch, very straightforward as long as you have a knowledge of wiring a light switch. The whole wemo line I’ve been very impressed with, wether it’s for security purposes or any other reason, the Belkin wemo line should be on your list for controlling a light or devices from your phone.

I got these so I could turn the lights on when I was out of town or working late. I have to say they work great. Set up took me about 8 minutes per switch: a simple physical install, then login to the switches self generated wifi to set it on your wifi, done. The app is not the fastest in the world but it gets the job done. The switch knows when it is in or off so if someone physically clicks the switch button it reflects the status when you log in. The only complain it have is u could not find it in off white to exact match my outlet cover.

Works great. Only setup problem was S4 phone kept switching away from WEMO back to home network. Phone must be set to not auto switch networks to complete setup. Otherwise won't setup and no error message. No other problems.

Easy install, and works well with my google home. Plus has a little light on it that makes it seem fancy.

Easy to install and set up. Once installed just forget it and it does its thing. I bought this for my front porch light. I like to conserve electricity and we would often leave the front port light on all day, at times for week. The app allows me to set up the device with my ZIP code area and it uses the time zone for ZIP code to program. I also like the fact that the app allows me to activate the lights or put them on "random", so It appears as if someone is home when we are away.

We have front porch lights that we always seem to forget to turn on or off. So, we purchased this unit after checking various online reviews. It installed quickly and easily, paired to the Android app right away, and we were in business. We have our front porch lights on a schedule (very easy to figure out, many options too) and now we don't worry about it. Lights go on and off every day. Definitely recommend this item, but note that it does not dim ... just on/off functionality.

Very easy to install. Product works perfectly as described by Belkin. I will be purchasing more Wemo products as they become available.

The Wemo light switch is a device that is simple to install and improves the efficiency of my family's consumption of electricity. As a dad that was always complaining about lights being left on, these switches are a dream come true. I integrated 6 switches with 3 echo dots over the holidays and now have the ability to turn upstair lights off from anywhere in the house (including my daughter's room when she is staying up too late). I am planning to install a few more in thw future.

Easy to install. Connects to both google home and echo. Some trouble with it consistently connecting to my WiFi.
