I have been upgrading my home with several WIFI based devices. I have been wanting to upgrade multiple light switches with WIFI capability, allowing me to remotely operate them. This is so easy to install and use, and works great. Can't say enough good things about them. I am now waiting for them to come out with a dimmable version so I can complete my house installation. You currently you can't use these if you have a 3-way light switch.

These are great. Replaced the outdoor lights switches with two of these, and installation was just as easy as a regular light switch. They connected to the WeMo app right away and work perfectly. I like the ability to control them from anywhere, as well as the schedule that will automatically turn them on at sunset and off at sunrise. This is the 4th WeMo switch I've setup and all are working in conjunction with each other flawlessly.

Excellent wifi light switch. App works smooth and instructions are very simple. Open-source software used so this switch integrates well with Apple's Homekit for iOS8. There are other apps that control this device aside from Belkin's...but Belkin's app works easiest for now. It is possible to have an event trigger (on/off) based on ur phone gps location. My lights turn on a half mile away before I get home when my phone sees my gps location and triggers an event on the app.

I bought this to automate my outside porch and garage lights. Love it! Being able to control my lights while on vacation in Disney added peace of mind. I have since bought four more and have integrated them into my Alexa voice controlled home automation system. Easy to wire following instructions and YouTube videos if needed. Connects easily to wifi as well! Will be purchasing more soon! Switch is in the On position in the picture.

I have standardized my smart home's switches on the Belkin Wemo line of products based upon previous positive experiences with Belkin products. I have also based all of my smart home usage around Amazon's Alexa voice controls. Unfortunately, I had just made my first purchase of 5 Wemo switches shortly after the Spectre and Meltdown issues were discovered. All of the Wemo devices stopped responding to Alexa (or responded very unreliably to Alexa) for about a week while Belkin applied patches to their servers that bridge their app and the Alexa AI. I was very frustrated that Belkin apparently did not have highly available and redundant servers in place for this functionality. Since that initial customer service pothole, the switches have performed acceptably. Often, there will be a 5 second delay between my command and Alexa's action, but the "Belkin Wemo is not responding" response is definitely less common these days. (Maybe once every 3 weeks or so.) I do see that there are firmware updates to the hardware pretty regularly. Obviously, the technology is still maturing, but Belkin seems to be making strides to improve their products. My initial concern was that the switches that I had decided on, and of which I have now installed 15 (switches, dimmers, and mini smart plugs), would become obsolete. I didn’t want to have to rip them all out and start over with new hardware! Luckily, it seems that Belkin is able to make their improvements via prolific firmware updates. In a nutshell, I'd say that the Belkin Wemo switches are decent and that it seems that Belkin is making efforts to continually improve them.

This switch installed easily, was pretty easy to setup using my phone and works great at the switch, with Alexa, and via the WeMo app. It's difficult to find the WeMo app in the app store (I had to search Google for it) and the switch only works in a monopole setup (one switch, one light). This is documented, but it would be nice if they made a switch that worked with one light controlled by multiple switches. That said I can easily recommend this product.

Added this to my Samsung SmartThings system, replacing a standalone timer that controlled my outside lights. So much easier to program than the standalone timer, which had to be reprogrammed every time the power went out. The Belkin switch is quite a bit sturdier than the standalone I replaced, it looks like it can take a little more abuse whereas the standalone switch had cheap plastic components that could easily break off.

Great product, The ability to turn lights on/off from anywhere in the world. Do have some issues with losing connection, only need to refresh and works fine, but it is the only down fall I have had.

I got tired of setting my light switches throughout the year and wanted something simpler to use than the old switches I previously owned. This device was not particularly hard to install - I'm not an electrician or anything. I do know a good amount about computers, though. The device is very simple to use. Mine worked no problem with Android, but I read that some iPhone users had a little trouble during setup. There is also a button to press so you can use it like a normal light switch.

I am really enjoying my purchase, it's nice for setting indoor lights on a dusk to dawn schedule, and for turning lights on and off when you are not home. I look forward to pairing one of these in my basement in conjunction with the WeMotion device to turn on the lights when i head downstairs. If the price comes down, I would like to have all of main lights on these switches. A nice easy way to check your phone and make sure all of the lights are off at night.

The WEMO switch is an excellent addition to any household providing the ability to control lights using your smartphone while in the home, on the road, or even out of the country. In addition, you can name and program each individual WEMO switch to turn on, and turn off at different times of the day, as well and specific days of the week, providing an appearance of being at home while away on business or pleasure. A little pricey, but a great product.

The premise of this switch is fascinating, control your lights remotely and in some circumstances, with your voice. I recommend you get, or either own, Amazon Echo or Google Home for the full experience. Other than having the ability to turn lights off remotely (say when you're on vacation) the real magic is being able to turn on/off the lights with your voice. The set up is pretty straightforward. The installation is easy if you have any do-it-yourself know how. You just need to turn off the power to the switch and unscrew some screws. The one big caveat is the white wire (when you get the packaging you'll know) but you are required to have a white wire (neutral) in your switch box for this to work. It's my understanding if your house is less than 20 years old, you should have one. Mine were unused and wrapped tightly in the back of the switch box. Once it's installed, it's pretty easy to setup., You download the app and run through it's pretty straightforward set up. The app is clean and easy to understand and for the most part, the set up was painfree. Although I did get hung up on connecting it to Wi-Fi, but that was before I realized the importance of the "white" wire. Once set up, I linked it to both my Amazon Alexa app and Google Home app and voila. Voice activated lights. All I say is "Hey Google, turn the lights on in the kitchen" or something close to that, and Google turns the lights on. Of all smart home tech, I put lights at the top of the list of must-haves, right below thermostat.
