Unfortunately, I could not install the switch because it required a neutral (white) wire to operate. In other words, a neutral (white), hot (black), and switch wire. I did not have the neutral. I wasted a lot of time trying to install the switch to no avail and returned the product. The other WEMO outlets that I have work very well however.

Thank you for sharing your honest feedback. Yes, a neutral wire is required to set up the Wemo Light Switch. This may not be always present in your electrical wirings at home. However, if present, it can be normally found in the wall box with a wire nut on top of it.

The garage one cuts in and out, it’s probably my distance to WiFi. HomeKit was a pain to manage if you need to reset and reinstall. so after a lot of frustration I deleted managing them from Apple and use Alexa. However she doesn’t find the device using the Wemo skill, but still installs as an “other” device. The App could use some work.
