It needs a bridge to connect, another $30 or $40. Would change to another product that was more universal comparability. The first time I tried to use the switch remotely the app crashed, had to reset when returned home.

It worked as expected for about a week. After about a week I lost contact with the switch and per tech support will not be able to resolve the problem until I return home. So, in my opinion I wasted my money on the purchase.

There is a possibility that the Wemo Light Switch was disconnected from your wireless network. It is true that further troubleshooting cannot be done unless you are on the same location as the device.
