They constantly keep getting off the internet whenever there is an internet outage and have to be manually reconnected each time as soon they loose the internet connectivity due to an outage. Every two to three weeks the manufacturer keeps pushing for firmware updates which when updated takes these switches off the internet and they have to be manually reconnected again. Manual re-connection of these Wemo - Light Switches is a ROYAL PAIN sometimes needing to turn-off my circuit breaker. Stay away from these Wemo - Light Switches. I am changing my four Wemo - Light Switches to regular switches now. Waste of money

It picked up my home network the first time only so I was never able to set it up as the set up process didn't complete the first time. I had purchased 3 switches so I tried setting up another one but same results so I ended up returning all of them.

Expensive for an on/off switch

They are working as expected. easy to install and sync it with WiFi and app on phone. I synced it with Alexa. it took me approximately 45 mins to install and set up this. The main awesome thing with this product is, with this switch, you can control your lights (over internet) when you are away from home. You don't have to be on WiFi. I am saying this because, I bought TP-Link switch which will work only on WiFi. You have to connect to WiFi to operate TP-Link switch. Wemo has other features too like away from home and pretend like you at home option ( this will turn on and off lights like a timer based on how you setup) useful when you go on vacation.
