I was really excited to add this dimmer switch to my smart home. I was impressed by WeMo products and have owned one of their outlets for over a year. It was easy to install and worked well, even with a few hiccups. Physical installation is easy, the instructions are clear and the wires are well labeled. I had no issues with the wiring and using the dimmer switch via touch is intuitive and easy. If only the app had the same qualities. I attempted to link the switch to my existing wifi network using my existing app on my phone and received an error when trying to connect to my wifi. The box contained instructions on how to reset the device and I was prepared for some minor errors. I attempted it again with the same results. Maybe the app on my phone was having issues, I did a fresh install on my wife's phone and got the same results. The dimmer switch ran all of the tests and controlled the lights but ultimately would not connect to my wifi. I called tech support and spent over an hour on the phone with them. We made adjustments to my router, power cycled every thing and adjusted our phones but the device would still not connect. I chalked it up to a defective device and went into the store for an exchange. Second device, same issue. It won't connect to my home wifi. I read a review on another website suggesting that one disable other WeMo products to encourage the dimmer to connect. I tried that and managed to get it to connect to my wifi; however, it needed a firmware upgrade. A few hours later the now familiar red led was flashing on the dimmer indicating yet another error. It wouldn't connect to my home network and was only responsive through touch. No app or Alexa controls. It's a very pretty dimmer switch but only does 1/3 of it's promised features for me. Tech support was friendly but ultimately unable to provide any actual help on the issue. Save your money or go another route for smart home lighting.

Great switches and easy to install if you have basic home electrical knowledge dealing with the wiring. Switches work great with google assistant and amazon alexa. The wemo app is great too. No more searching for the lights when bringing in groceries at night. Love controlling the lights when I’m away or sitting on the couch or laying in bed.

Right after I purchased this dimmer switch, WeMo had some problems with their "cloud" and it gave me fits for several days. I was almost ready to return it when viola, they solved their "cloud" problems. Since then it has worked like it is supposed to work.

Easy to install and use. Great for dimming with voice control.

Love the ability to set these on a schedule so that it's not pitch black in the living room when we wake up, since the kids leave things on the floor and I don't want to break my foot. Also, the auto shut off is nice to have since they leave lights on. Wish it were smart things compatible although I bought these on sale so I'm very happy with my purchase.
