Best buy installed it but some how they didn't do it correctly because my hot water is cold and vice versa

For an old style washer, this is a great choice. Has a large tub for lots of clothes and handles large loads very well.

This is an awesome washer. It didn't cost a fortune and works great. It is very quiet.

I am so glad to find a top loading washer with an old fashioned agitator. I didn't want anything to do with the HE machines after hearing about them and reading reviews about the lack of water to adequately cover your clothes, mold and mildew problems, etc. This washer is replacing a faithful 20 year old Whirlpool old school washer that has served me well over those many years. I have used it for 3 months and I feel lucky to have such a great but rather simple old school washer at a very reasonable price. I can only hope to get another 20 years out of the new one. It may not have all the bells and whstles of the really expensive ones, but it does have some great features. It has 4 water levels (load sizes), a step up from my old one that only had 3. It is 3.6 cu.ft. capacity which is huge compared to my old 2.4 cu.ft. washer. I can easily fit 7 large bath towels and a half dozen smaller hand towels in with plenty of room for washing. I like the automatic softener dispenser I find that very convenient. The 5 water temp settings are more than I would ever need. The LED lights are kind of cool and lets me know what operation it is doing each step of the way. Rinsing - I want a full dunk rinse of my clothes. That is the only way to really clean them and get remaining soap residue out. I was initially dismayed when I found out that only a couple of cycles (Casual Cycles) had a default full dunking rinse and the other cycles defaulted to a spray rinse. Well come to find out there is a work around to that. On the Rinse Options control choose one of the Rinse with Softener options. It will give you a full dunk if that is selected no matter what cycle you are using. After all, it would have to fill the washer in order to disseminate the softener throught your clothes, the spray would not work. You don't even need to use softener, just put some water in the dispenser (or maybe leave empty?)...So I just leave mine set to "1Rinse with Softener" on the control panel all the time to get my clothes dunk rinsed no matter what cycle I choose. So no need for you or me to fret about it. Sounds - There is a lot of debate about this it appears. My washer is in the basement which helps with noise to begin with, but.....This washer is quieter than my old one. It makes different sounds while washing than the old one did, but overall I would call it quiet. Sometimes during the operation I forget it is even running. The spin cylce is exceptionally quiet once the water pump turns off....The only time I notice it running is when the water pump motor engages to drain the water out. Then I can hear a little bit of whining....but it is no louder or worse than my old machine ever was. Operating time - It takes a little longer than my old one did. For example, a medium load using a short cycle such as Casual Light will take about 40 minutes. My old washer on a similar cycle and load would take 35 minutes, so not a lot longer. It seems to take a little longer during the fill stage at the very beginning since it swithces between warm and cold water trying to get the temperature just right according to the water temp that you have selected. This switching back and forth makes it a longer fill up but not terribly long. Locking lid - I don't find it a big deal....If you forget a piece of clothing just press the pause button, the lid unlocks and you can add the piece, then close the lid and press the button again to resume. I will say that I miss being able to watch the washer at work with the lid up which you cannot do obviously with this locking lid. That was the only way I knew my old one was not working....by seeing the agitator not moving even though the machine sounded like normal function. If or when a similar thing occurs to this new machine how would I ever know now? Cleaning - After three months of use for regular clothes, towels, bed sheets etc. I can say that it really cleans my stuff and rinses them out well too! Now to take a moment to say Best Buy gave me a quick and good delivery of this item. My machine broke on a Sunday (at least that is when I first noticed it), I went to BB on Monday after finding this machine on the internet, and had it installed that same Friday. Thanks, BB....but I also want to add that the delivery men, while prompt and courteous, didn't hook up the drainage hose into my tub according to specs....the hose was hanging too far down into the tub which could have caused a siphon problem if it touched the water level in the tub while expelling the drain water.....anyhow, it was an easy fix for me to adjust the clamp and raise the level of the overhang of the hose properly. Otherwise great delivery! Now I have a question for all of the buying community....I noticed that the spindle on mine (the agitator) feels just a little bit loose. If I grab ahold of it on the very top I can sort of rock it back and forth just a little bit. I don't know if this is normal or if something perhaps is loose in the assembly. Does anyone else notice this on their new machine? Please answer with your comments.

Bought the washer and dryer set. Could not be more satisfied. They both work great so far
