My wife and I had been shopping for a while as we needed a new washer for our growing family of 5. We did a lot of research trying to find a reliable machine at a price that fit our budget. Salespeople at various stores tried to persuade us to consider the "latest" top-loading machine that doesn't have an agitator and used less water. It sounded good in theory but after more research, we found so many reviews where individuals simply "cried out" give us our "plain old washer back." We heard their "cry" and decided to try this one. So far, it's been a great machine.

If you are looking for a "no frills" washer, this is great. It isn't HE, let's me choose how much water to put in and generally is taking the place of the 40 year old machine it replaced. It takes longer to cycle than I'm used to but that certainly doesn't affect how it cleans clothes! Does that great, and that's why we buy washing machines, isn't it?

Chose this item because I would not have to shop/ purchase special detergent.

I've only used this washer a few times now and it seems fine, but it doesn't operate like other washers I've used/had in the past. The wash cycle doesn't seem vigorous enough to throughly clean really soiled clothes. The rinse cycle is rather week as well and the tub doesn't drain completely. Perhaps mine is just broken, but that would be really unfortunate for a brand new appliance.

Overall I like the washer. My old one would not stay level and walked and banged around. Thankfully, this one is level and quiet in that department. But it does make an unpleasant and rather loud squeaking sort of noise that I thought at first was a defect but have come to believe it is not. I'm learning to tune it out.

Like the matching dryer, this washer is an extremely good value. My previous washer was a HE front loader and I hated it - it was very loud. This washer is quiet, efficient, and gets the clothes clean. I'm so pleased with this purchase!

This Whirlpool is a great washer for the price paid for it. I am impressed with its cleaning performance and the selection of cycles and water temperature options. It can handle a queen size quilt without becoming out of balanced.

Great washer at such a low price! This washer beat my expectations by a mile. The installers were very helpful as my old house doesn't meet Best Buy installation codes due to hoses into the floor drain. The told me what to do to hook it up and it runs like a charm!

This machine is cheaper , work perfectly and clean thoroughly. I love this product.

After approximately 30 years of noisy spin cycle and buzzing if the heaviest water absorbing items such as bath towels,blue jeans are unbalanced, it would stop spinning and start buzzing indicating that the heaviest water soaked items were unbalanced.

Very pleased with this washer. Great washer and good price. Lots of options and runs quiet.

Love it!!! It washes my clothes well. The inside is big enough for a full load. I have not had any problems.
