Customers often highlight the excellent wash quality, ease of use, and capacity of this 3.8 Cu. Ft. High Efficiency Top Load Washer. Many appreciate its performance and find it a great value for the price. However, some customers note that the washer can be quite loud and that the spin cycle may be a concern for some users. The presence of an agitator is a positive feature for many buyers.

This washer is huge on the inside and the agitator works well on tough, heavily soiled loads. I've tried other auto sensing washers and had to return them because the auto sensing did not provide enough water to wash a large load of clothes and the agitator barely moved. However, this washer provided plenty of water to wash a large load. I, personally, do not like these new technology washers, but this one seemed to do the job. One thing I do not like is when the washer locks during the rinse cycle or stops washing/agitating when you open it. As I understand it, all the new washers do this.

My choice of washer and dryer was entirely dictated by the depth of the units due to limited space. Even though the cost for the set was more than $1400, it is a very basic set. The steel tub is very thin and the plastic components are cheaply made. It is also quite noisy. But this washer meets my two highest requirements, it fits in the laundry room and it gets my laundry clean, including king size linens. My last Whirlpool set lasted 27 years, I’m hoping to get a long service life from this set.

I have had the machine for about a month and so far so good. At least I don’t have to babysit it like my last Samsung washer! I have tried both propeller and agitator models of wash machines and prefer the agitator. I think it cleans better and my sheets are not tangled up and making for an unbalanced load.

We are very happy with our purchase!!! The whirlpool washer performs better then we expected!!!!! It’s the perfect size and I love how it has a the agitator in the middle. We did have to order both washer and dryer but that experience went great as well. It was delivered on time and they even helped install it. If you’re looking for a great washer with a great price then look no further than this top loader whirlpool.

Needed a washer that would fit in our closet, which this does perfectly. Does everything we need and haven't had any issues so far. It is a little noisy so if you are looking for something quiet that is something to consider.

We needed a washer and dryer and did not want one with too many bells and whistles that could break and cause expensive repairs. We have had this one for over a year and the only thing about it we dont like is it is a little noisy but you limit that by balancing the feet. Not a big deal and it was worth it.

BOUGHT IT AGAIN FOR DUPLEX⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Game Changer for Laundry!
This washer and dryer set has made laundry so much easier! The washer cleans clothes thoroughly, even on quick cycles, and is surprisingly quiet. The dryer gets everything dry in one go, with no damp spots, and the lint filter is easy to clean. Both units feel sturdy, look great, and have plenty of settings for different fabrics. I’ve noticed my clothes come out fresher and softer than with my old machines. Highly recommend to anyone looking to upgrade!

Not sure how to rate this washer yet; it seems to shake/shimmy a little too much when it is in spin cycle, but I'm not sure if that is normal for this washer. It does clean our clothes beautifully and, once it has gone through the spin cycle, the clothes are rung out nicely.

I bought this washer from Best Buy in 2024. So far, it works okay. The 360 wash agitator does a decent job cleaning everyday loads, and it's fairly quiet during operation. It’s not fancy, but it gets the job done. If you're looking for a basic, reliable washer without all the extra bells and whistles, this one's solid enough.

Excellent washing machine but it is loud. We literally have 27” for a machine to fit and this one is 26 1/4”. Does a great job but it is loud - I would highly recommend if you have a tight space and is made in the USA!

We had the flat disc vs. 'hi-rise' agitator maytag (maytag no longer exists, per se, absorbed by whirlpool in the mix of corporate take-overs, just uses their name, so 'Whirlpool&Maytag is the same machine), and when we bought this one, I made sure it had a full-size agitator before I let them take it in the house (the previous flat disc agitator didn't get stains out; also, the biggest problem is they take 1 1/2 hours for a single wash - ridiculous, I can't believe they make them them like that by design! Amazing!! And if yours is clicking and then turns off instead of WASHcycle, it's likely to be a little clock-motor next to the transmission involving cam's and detente that has to be replaced..and looks simple). I gave a quick look, saw the agitator, and gave my consent. Later when I took a closer look, I discovered - to my horror - that it was same flat disc with a 'tower' added on that looked correct at a glance, but..splines to grab and agitate the load were at the top of the shaft only (hindering the view below), and just a sort of smooth spindle lower end to about half-way up. So I don't see how it works efficiently, unless the water level is max; and given the 'rules of engagement' for water efficient designs, lately, I don't think you can even have that high of a water-level,,by design! Still, all in all, it gets the job done, wash results seem good..and price was okay (I even got a 30-dollar geek-squad gift-card for in-store shopping as a perk! I have to love that. My experience is they design them to fail a couple minutes out of warranty. Then you are offered the chance to renew the warranty to get their guys out so they will charge you for the parts (that was with SEARS). Speaking, or writing, rather, from my perspective being a repair-guy for 30+yrs, the old machines worked well, and their designs were not warped in mystery, --that's a wrap! ~c.
PS: As an afterthought, of current designs on the market, probably the best wash results are to be had from the front-load machines which offer good, beat-it-against-the-rock scrubbing effect, and also, less stress on the clothes than the top-loader agitator designs; the down-side, again, is complicated electronics systems so when something goes south, you have to have a factory-trained tech sort it for you. Back to the old!

Very good for a basic washer. 3.8 cu ft is pretty big for even the thicker blankets. I really like that you have options on your wash, including a second rinse. I originally had one that wasn’t working properly but Best Buy did a fantastic job replacing it. Overall it’s a very good, cheap option. I would buy this model again.

I wanted a good and simple washing machine. Coming from an older unit that had less "bells & whistles" I had 2 concerns, 1) does it really wash well with less water used?? 2) didn't want something that took hours to get thru 1 load of clothes.. Well those concerns are over, this machine washes well and while it does take longer than my old unit, it is a manageable time and have adapted well with it. It has a nice large tub, feels like a huge upgrade over old unit! Time to receive the unit once ordered was great. The folks who delivered it was great.. I am very pleased with my new unit...
