    Top Load Washing Machine

    Bought this same washing machine again after using it on our family of four for four years, about 10-15 loads of laundry a week. The spinner broke and replacing it cost less than repairing it. Would highly recommend again though! It cleans our clothes well and doesn’t get gunk buildup on the machine like our front load washer did. It is also a large capacity for smaller depth spaces. *Side Note: unless you can keep it behind a closed door when running, it might be a little loud inside a house.

    Analog washer

    I have had this washer about one month and have washed approximately 20 loads. The machine is 100% analog. No electronic key pads to be a maintenance headache. A washing cycle takes about 50 minutes which is pretty much the norm now. During the wash cycle it makes a noise similar to a busy signal. Not bothersome, but it is not not silent. A good washer for the price. The Best Buy install was quick and trouble free.

    Not perfect, but good for the price.

    So far this washer has been pretty good for the price. A couple of times when I first used it I ran into issues with it not fully wetting all of the clothes, but so far I have been able to avoid these issues with a combination of different settings and smaller loads. I was bordering between a 3/5 and 4/5, but am giving it the benefit of the doubt for now! Will update after a few months.

    Nice new washer

    This is a nice machine. Our second Whirlpool, the first one lasted 20 years with minimal repairs. I was a bit surprised by the whole HE thing, but it turns out that all the detergent is HE compatible anyway. I miss being able to rinse out my detergent cup under the running water. You also can't set your temperature from the water taps, so just set them all the way open. It looks more difficult to repair than the old models. Be aware that the lid is huge, and you need more clearance than the older machines need. I like this machine better than most of the competition.

    Happy

    I've had whirlpools in the past and I've always liked the Whirlpool product because they hold up very well I never had a problem with a whirlpool but other brands I have so when you find something that works for you you might as well stay with it I just received my new whirlpool the other one worked very well still someone else had it and I had it for over 13 years but it start to leak and I have no idea where it was leaking from I'm not able to do the things that I used to do so I just broke down and went on board a new one the only thing with me is that I have to get used to the sensor and all this digital stuff I watched with this machine for the first time yesterday and I read a few reviews and it said they were loud but to me it wasn't loud I didn't have that issue I just enjoyed yes I will highly recommend just bringing but what I was really surprised was that it was so lightweight the last one I had it was very very heavy overall I'm a happy camper and the price was good

  • Is this a HE washer?

    I do not believe so as it has a full size agitator. It does use HE detergent. I will say my previous machine was HE and it was awful. It left a white residue, assuming lint based, on clothing. Reduced detergent, washed smaller loads (as directed for this issue) to no avail. Ended up either re-washing or running another rinse cycle and most times didn't resolve issue so wasn't very efficient. My new Whirlpool is great. Has auto sensing fill and deep water wash for quilts, sheets and bulky items. My clothes need only one wash/rinse as there is no residue.

  • Does this machine have a place to add detergent? Or does it have to be hand poured?

    The detergent has to be hand poured. Only the bleach and fabric softer has a place to add.

  • Can someone please measure the exact depth of the machine. I know the specifications show it to be 27” wide by a 27” depth but typically the depth is usually less. I need a depth of no bigger than 26 3/4” to fit down our stairs. Thanks!!

    The exact measurement is 26 1/2"deep. This will be a very tight fit.

  • Once the wash cycle begins can it be opened to add an item or is the lid locked

    Just hit the start (pause) button and it will unlock and you can start it back up again without restarting your load of laundry.

  • Does anyone have a way of cleaning the fabric softener dispenser in the agitator, since it can’t be removed (per the manual’s instructions)? I tried using a downy ball to just avoid using it, but the ball didn’t empty like it did in non HE washers.

    I have always cleaned the softener dispenser simply by putting hot water in the dispenser and running a load, repeat if nessessary
