This washer does the job. However, if I could choose all over again I would not get this model. The washing cycles are too long and the auto sensing is incredibly loud. The cycles switching from one to another make a loud noise. I'm not sure how it can be more efficient if it washes longer than my old ancient model did?? There are only 2 cycles basically because if you choose anything other than quick wash or deep wash and rinse your washer will be going for over an hour... Almost 2.. Makes no sense. I would not recommend this washer... The best thing about it is you can put 2 comforters in it or a lot of clothing and it not be cramped...

This washer cleans clothes really well. I like the simplicity of the knobs without all the frills. I only gave it three stars because it's not that large. I can't wash a queen size comforter in it. Also, it's really loud with a long wash cycle. Good washer for the price.

Large capacity. Deep cold water wash. The extra spin and rinse. Just makes it a great buy. Can’t beat this deal Only con is that it makes loud noise on its final spin.

I am very happy with the washer I bought. It works well and is a good size tub. I am happy to no longer have an agitator it allows the tub to be so much larger. I was able to wash my Cal-King Comforter with no issues. The only thing I wish I had on this washer was a Fabric Softener dispenser. I thought this one had one but I guess I picked the wrong one but oh well it'll work.

This is a great washer. The load capacity is large and the auto sensing load amount is very helpful.

I purchased the Whirlpool top-load (impeller) washer to replace a Whirlpool top-load (agitator) washer that failed unexpectedly. The impeller action is much better than the agitator. I like the many options offered for wash temperature, water level and rinse & wash cycles. (The whites w/soak & colors w/soak cycles are favorites.) Follow the manual's instructions on how to correctly load the machine & determine the amount of detergent needed for each size load.

For an Old-Fashioned Dryer, this works pretty great for a Spin-Top. The Features are fine and help with ease of access. The Fill Awareness feature is pretty great!

This washer works as advertised. It handles large laundry loads well. Clothes come out very clean. Washer is a workhorse. Very happy with it.

We ordered the washer the day after ours went out. It's so easy to use. Practically just a push of a button and you're good to go. The auto load size sensing is a really great feature.
Bought this for my daughter and she likes the space inside and the features.

Large drum, new spinnerless washing seems to work very well. Good safety additions.

Old washer motor went out. Bought this one as replacement has a few more features. But overall washes clothes like it should.

You have to put soap in before clothes as the lid locks when you start the water. I read the manual and it tells you to put the soap in, then the clothes and close the lid to start the cycle. I do not like that, I like to add my soap to the water and then my clothes. Also no agitator, didn't realize that when I bought it. First blanket I washed, it threw the machine off and it didn't drain it. I had to reposition the blanket and then run it through spin again.

My family usually have appliances and power tools last about 27 to 29 years, Kenmore has always been a great long lasting and dependable brand but this time we had large top loader washer with agitator stop working (probably just belt slipped off or broke and needed replaced), but the family offered to get a new one for Christmas as a gift, it arrived fast and was installed quick, so after using it alot I've learned several things about this one. It's good for what it does, functionally it's pretty efficient. It doesn't have an agitator so it's easier on your clothing, towels, and sheets as a result, which also means it doesn't catch and snag and pull garments in loose area's as much due to the design of the bottom so clothing and delicate items don't get stuck between bottom pieces which happens with agitators. It takes longer to wash than the old washer did and it doesn't have anything showing or giving any indication the actual time it takes to wash like the previous one did and I don't like that at all because time management is very important in today's modern day and I like to see that information to make important decisions during wash and dry times, so it throws time planning off a bit in that regard which is a little inconvenient. It has many great features that make the washer easy to use overall, mainly the settings (though having so many cold options was confusing at first glance, it only makes sense after reading the manual why it's like that, the temps are 1 less than you'd think.) When it runs, it's actually the noisiest washer I've ever heard, with the exception of during the main wash phase. It makes so many different noises that if you aren't used to it you have no idea and it might actually freak you out. My uncle commented it sounds like something from the 1950's and 1960's. First several washes it was off balance alot, and it is pretty scary when it does that because you don't really know if you should stop it or let it self adjust, it does a pretty good job of self balancing the load but it will make some jack hammering sounds in the process and stop and start a few times automatically. Only once so far did it not fully drain after it completed, so I had to set it to the drain mode, I could tell it wasn't right because the items were way too wet and heavy after it finished, it was so hard trying to pull out the items too as they were packed tightly into the drum's sides at the bottom. You'll also hear the loose plastic washer sounds and even though it has anti-vibration, it shakes like crazy and looks as if it's traveling back in time. Put simply, you may never get used to the sounds it makes. The towels we had actually look like new again after using this new washer which is bit of a miracle and I don't quiet understand it how that is possible. To prevent stains or if you are busy and forget to turn washer on I like to add soap after the water is running, in this machine it's really weird because you have to add the soap first and place items to wash on top, the lid locks so usage of further treatment during secondary washing is confusing, I just don't do it anymore, they want the additive in a separate step and I don't think that's right to add during a rinse cycle, makes no sense at all and you can easily make mistakes doing it like that. The Tide Pod samples that came with the washer are great they work well and make the washed items small good, but they are way too strong in that the entire house smelled with 1 pod to where I couldn't even stand being in the same room as the washer, everybody in opposite ends of the house freaked out and I told them what it was they suggested wearing respirator when washing the clothes. All in all I love this washing machine it's awesome and fun to use, it's crazy but I still recommend it.
