Anime & Grind

The character designs are awful, the writing is subpar, some of the damage-sponge enemies you fight have one-shot-kill abilities even when they are a lower level than you. That being said, it is still a decent gameplay experience that can become addictive at times. Think Final Fantasy XII, but with less control over your party member's individual strategies in battle.
