I have several all different and this particular item always require reset for Bluetooth

Really like the lock. Except after using it for one month the inner spindle broke and have to have it repaired already. Brutal on that end.

Currently on the phone woth yale as the piece that turns the deadbolt is cheaply made and easily falls off i would recommend slipping Yale as a brand and getting another type of smart lock the customer service has been atrocious and not having a working deadbolt is the last thing anyone in the household needs to worry about

I have wasted so much time dealing with Yale over this buggy product. Auto-lock randomly disables itself and the activity log does not record events reliably. These are core features and they need to work 100% of the time. Yale support has been downright incompetent.

Not so easy to install but works like a charm. Looks good also.

Terrible. Connection is extremely weak and useless. Don’t waste your money. Trust me you will be calling them to un install and install a different product. Also, Yale’s customer service is so weak.

This smart lock lacks the wifi feature, that being said the connection to Bluetooth is horrible. So this lock should not be consider smart. Spend the extra money and you won’t regret it.

Unboxing: Box was heavier than expected but everything inside the box was well packaged. Everything was logically placed in the box starting with the instructions. Keypad was covered in plastic to keep it from harm during transport. Installation: Inside the box there are two sets of instructions a quick guide and the instruction booklet. The quick guide mostly advises you to download the app and pair your new lock with the app. The app has videos on how to complete the instruction which was nice. Inside the instruction booklet are measurements and even a ruler that allows you to measure your door to make sure you have the space and the correct size openings to install this lock on your door. Once I verified my door was able to take the lock the installation was easy enough. I had one issue connecting the cable from the outside piece to the inside piece because of how close it was to the locking unit. Otherwise, it was a smooth installation. Took about 15 minutes. Once installed the app tests the functionality and you are good to go. I did not get the additional smart Wi-Fi unit and I was unable to test the door sense as my door did not meet the requirements for installation. Usage: Using my phone to unlock and lock the door worked as expected. Using the code on the panel also worked great. I liked that this unit had physical buttons unlike other units that opt for a touchscreen. I have larger fingers, and this keeps me from pushing multiple keys or not pushing anything at all. With the physical buttons I know I have pushed the key. Within the app you can assign multiple users and give each user a code. You are also able to set an access schedule to limit when those codes can be used. You can also see when a code was used and by which user if you need to audit anything. Note to users you will need the smart module that connects this unit to Wi-Fi to use any home automation via Alexa or google home. Without the smart unit which I did not purchase codes and Bluetooth are the only ways to interact with this lock. Pros: Look of the lock is smooth and looks great on my door. Fairly easy installation especially if you have installed locks before. App was very instructive on how to install lock with videos. Ability to add and remove wifi capabilities is nice for the security minded Cons: If you are running this unit on Bluetooth only you need to be close to the lock to make any changes via the app and to see any logs or entries.

If you forget your phone inside the room on the other side of the room then your out of luck because you need your phone to be able to access it and unlock the door

Very well build lock. I wish there was a proximity sensor, so when approaching it would light up the numbers.

Once you go to keyless, there is no way back. Great convenience. Great build quality.

Main part was loss, not working. I bought another kind of Yale product year ago, it has been working great.

Does not have great instructions and had to look up everything on YouTube. Nothing connected right so I return it

A waste of money does not work had to return best buy teck person himself could not even get it to work, there are much better locks out there to buy

Changes the level of convenience!!! It was very easy to install. The app pretty much walks everything through. I was thinking right away i would have to pick a code to lock or unlock. But it works just fine with the app. I would prefer the option of using a key just incase of a malfunction. It looks good with my original hardware on the door. So i didn't have to change anything but my deadbolt. At first i had so many questions about what may happen if the batteries die or things like that. The batteries are pretty easy to install. I wouldn't use it if there's 1 way in and out access that you could possibly get locked in. I can always see who has locked or unlock the door with adds an extra peace of mind when trying to figure out who's coming in or how they have access to my home. My kids will misplace their keys before they misplace the phone or smartwatch. The days of having to get the key from 1 location to stop by the house is over. I think it works ideally and allows peace of mind checking to see if i locked the door or if my kids made curfew.

Let's start with the installation (I'm a bit of a handman so it's written from that perspective). While it was simple a remove the old lock and put this one in there were no major issues with replace the deadbolt lock that was on the door already, it did require a small bit of door modification to get it to fit, however non different than any other lock I would put in. Setup - I found the set up with the app to be a bit buggy not quite as straightforward as I would have like but not as bad as others I have, regales I was able to connect and once that happened it work really well. Use - I ran everything thru the Yale App - it's OK, no real problems there and there are some neat features features - the auto-lock and unlock and the smart alerts are nice features, not sure they are better than any other but the worked really well, no misses during the review time. Let me plug in here the one thing major thing I don't like about the lock - it's not wifi - you can add that module as I understand but it's not part of the standard package - so if you have a google or amazon or other wifi home - you out of luck - it's does work with apple home kit Aesthetic - this is a really nice looking lock and come in a variety of finishes to match whatever you have - it still has the big clunky box on the inside of the door however this version seem to have streamlined it a bit to where it's not as large and the rounded corners make it blend in a bit better - this is a bit of a pet peeve of mine so I when I say it better it really is an improved over others I've seen. Security - Please note that I did not attempt any destructive testing on the lock or the door - the lock seem to be as secure as any standard deadbolt lock that you can install. The lock mechanism works well and seem to secure the door. Overall impression this is a good lock - the only downside is that wifi is not included however that could add a while other set of issues if it was

For me, this is my first "smart" door lock. Installed it onto my front door that already had a deadbolt and separate knob handle. App setup and connection went well. Just had to follow the instructions as described. Had debated between the WiFi and Bluetooth versions and the Bluetooth has been working fine thus far. App works fine for me. I like having the push-button keypad option as well. Hopefully the battery lasts a long time, but only time will tell. Looks very nice installed onto the door as well IMO.

Hate it changed batteries twice in leas than a month.

I love the features and convenience this lock brings to my home. Not having to run and get a key, or walk around to the unlocked door while working outside, or coming home from work, etc. is a huge convenience and time saver for me. This is the third different smart lock I've installed in my home and the 2nd one from Yale. The build quality is superior to other brands. It looks classy and like a higher end lock. I already have the Yale app and an account on my phone, so setup and adding a lock was a breeze. No issues whatsoever. Installation was just like my other lock and didn't really cause me any trouble. Once installed, it was seamless and calibrated perfectly to my door. I love the ability to invite someone and send them a code. We have a cleaning service that comes once a month and not having to hide a key under the door anymore not only makes me feel safer, it gives me piece of mind that I can turn on and off their code, and assign a day or even time to select when their codes will work. For example, if they're coming to clean at 9am on Tuesday and will be done by 11am or noon, I can select their code to only work on Tuesdays from 8:30am-12pm. PERFECT! In addition, it shows a history or what code was used, and when! I highly recommend it. Perfect addition to your home.
