Really good product! I love that there’s a key option just in case the batteries die you have a back up option. I also wanted actual buttons because the one with the digital keypad was a little harder to use. You also can connect your phone with it.

    A complete nightmare

We got this lock in May. It was amazing because it allowed us to manage our rentals from afar. However, after the first installation, for every 3 weeks it kept beeping and locking people out. Our tenants at the time kept having to replace the batteries for us. We contacted the Yale support in July, they were very quick and provided us a free WiFi bridge in August. Now keep in mind my house is small. The distance between the front door and the router is less than 20 feet, and now with the WiFi bridge, it should not happen again. Well it did again in November. So we contacted the customer support again. This time they provided a replacement unit for free and claimed that ours from Best Buy was defective unit. We got it and replaced the whole unit in November. The same issue happened again and again at the worst time. In December, tenants got locked out 3 times again. This week alone - We tried to reset it, replaced the battery on last Saturday. The next day it happened again. We replaced the batteries with brand new ones of a new box. This morning at 5am, it happened and did not let my tenants in. This has been a complete nightmare and the product is so terrible because we have done everything we could and we are going to be out of town literally today, so there is no one to support our tenants. This should have never happened so many times for this type of product, especially at such a high price $250.

The lock is a great improvement from a standard keypad. I got it thinking it was going to work with my Apple Watch. This models does not but the geofencing with the phone doesn’t make miss it.

Good lock, does the job at a good price. Install can be a little tricky if you installing in an old door and the opening measurements are a little off. The geo-sensing opening is also variable and does not always work.

The lock finally works great. But having some trouble to setup the wifi. Need a better instruction for installation and setup. Another issue is different model of Yale locks need different applications (Yale access or Nest).

I honestly like Yale Assure Lock 2. The only issue I have had with it, it connecting and keeping connected to my home wifi. But other than that it does what is says it does.

This took three hours to install BWI see the app kept crashing and it would make me start all over with installation directions. Then, it had issues with calibration. After all of that, the lock would jam even though manually it turned fine without hesitation. I used my pinky finger to turn it manually so no force was used. I had to take it apart and return to the store. Not happy. I did call customer service and spoke to someone outside of the U.S. and he did not care whether my locked worked or not.

I bought this lock because it seemed compatible with my Google Home setup and the features caught my attention. The main appeal was the door closing sensor and the auto unlock function. The door sensing seems to work, I was genuinely surprised at how well it was able to detect when my door was slightly ajar. My list of pros would be pretty short: Build quality is nice, heavy and seems durable. Installation is pretty straightforward, with plenty of assistance from the manual and included templates. As for the cons: The Google Home integration is terrible. You are required to set up a PIN to remote unlock from GHome. This makes any routine with the lock dysfunctional. I understand the reasoning behind this, but it defeats any purpose ofGHome integration if you have to type in PIN codes. Might as well not have it. Auto Unlock is an absolute joke. I had exactly 4 successful auto unlocks when I first enabled the feature, it was magical. Now I get a notification that I am home and a loading bar that states "Unlocking Door". I am left to either produce my key or enter a PIN every time. Then 15 minutes later I am notified that "Auto Unlock has failed" without any reason or troubleshooting steps. Just as a reminder that this thing sucks. The finish on the lock would be a Pro if it wasn't for the fact that the "Black Suede" finish is seemingly the least popular Yale finish. They only offer a handful of matching products in that specific finish, with most of them being interior doorknobs and closet handles. So to get a matching exterior doorknob I need to go try and find a similar finish from another company. For the price, this thing is an absolute stinker. If I could melt this thing down into scrap metal it would be more useful as a doorstop thanks the "smart lock" they sold it to be. The smartest thing it can do is tell me that it doesn't work.

Just as i said above great product, installation can require modification to the door depending on your situation. Had to heavily modify the door and the frame for it to fit and function. Once you get it in though it works like a charm.

It works REALLY nicely! The install was cumbersome and the directions fire the digital setup just aren't clear. Their website isn't any better, go to YouTube for help. Didn't include DoorSense piece.
