Q: Is this need to be wired or is it battery operated?? Also what does peephole mean??

Q: What does peephole mean? How does it work?
A: There are several versions of the ring doorbell. This particular version assumes you have a front door with a pre-drilled peephole. The product fits into an existing peephole with the doorbell outside and the battery housing inside.
Q: I want to use the ring peephole. Is having the amazon echo required to be able to use it?
A: No. You do not have to have an Amazon Echo for the Ring Peephole
Q: Do i have to pay any monthly fees
A: No you don’t need to but you will only be able to view live video no recording. The monthly fee is 3 dollars for one camera or 10 dollars for unlimited cameras
A: Suggest doing a YouTube review to install a door peephole and go through the process of drilling the hole (size of drill bit, etc.). After the hole is in them just follow the Ring instructions.
