A: This is a hard drive and is not an SSD w/NFTs. The Samsung T7 SSD has this and a few other hard drives that I know of by Western Digital. This one doesn't!

Great for Backup
I already have a 4TB SSD to supplement storage on my MacBook M3 pro but needed a reliable backup drive for time machine and online storage for that size is expensive. This drive works great for me. I've had a standard external drive fail before so having the extra shock proofing was a key requirement. The price and performance are competitive and hopefully, I will never have to test read speed, but I am ready just in case.
