A: It can be used with out cellphone service but you do need an initial internet connection, maybe head to the library with a laptop to set it up and pick a plan. They do have an unlimited plan for $99 a month and other options as well such as paying for the day or paying by how much you use it
A: I actually bought mine exactly for this scenario, and it works. It is no different than connecting a hotspot in a hotel room when you travel, but in this case you own and manage the hotspot.
Q: Can this service be used without internet
A: You do have to have an initial internet connection like a hotspot on your phone, so you can connect it, set it up and pick a plan. You won’t need another internet source after that

A: Hello Gizzard, Skyroam is a great hotspot for traveling and temporary purposes like waiting for your home internet service to be replaced. It is not recommended for a replacement of your home internet service provider.
