    Q: I recently invested in a 55" flat screen TV and subsequently discovered that the metal studs in the wall are not strong enough to suspend the TV. What material is needed to use this Sunbrite ceiling mount? Wood studs or metal--or either?

    A: Thank you for your inquiry into our proprietary SunBriteTV outdoor-rated mounts! For the best installation advice, we suggest working with Geek Squad to install the television correctly. Safety is always our first priority (hence our Outdoor TVs being rated for installation outside in all weather environments). Our ceiling mounts are safety rated to 500lbs (and tested at 3x that amount), so any structure you mount the TV to should minimally be rated to hold that weight.     Q: I have a agriculture center at our state fair. It is covered with a roof, but the sides have only screens. A mounted TV could easily be stolen when the center is closed at night. What do you have that would help with security and weather

    A: Hi there. Weather is not an issue, assuming you will be using a SunBrite outdoor TV. They are designed for permanent outdoor installation and are designed for exposure to rain, snow, dust, etc. The main consideration in SunBriteTV model selection is sun exposure. However we do have several wall mount options that can help deter theft. Both SunBrite tilt and fixed wall mounts are lockable by padlock.     Q: does the ceiling mount hinge at the top so the tv can be folded against the ceiling when not in use and will it except a curved 55inch samsung tv best regards james walker P/s is all hardware stainless steel as this would be going on a yacht.

As for using it with a curved TV, it’s designed for our all-weather outdoor televisions, many of which are happily installed on yachts and other vessels, but it may not have the correct VESA pattern for your TV.
