James, Thank you for reaching out! This mount is stainless steel, but it does not hinge at the top. As for using it with a curved TV, it’s designed for our all-weather outdoor televisions, many of which are happily installed on yachts and other vessels, but it may not have the correct VESA pattern for your TV.
