“I recently invested in a 55" flat screen TV and subsequently discovered that the metal studs in the wall are not strong enough to suspend the TV. What material is needed to use this Sunbrite ceiling mount? Wood studs or metal--or either?”

Thank you for your inquiry into our proprietary SunBriteTV outdoor-rated mounts! For the best installation advice, we suggest working with Geek Squad to install the television correctly. Safety is always our first priority (hence our Outdoor TVs being rated for installation outside in all weather environments). Our ceiling mounts are safety rated to 500lbs (and tested at 3x that amount), so any structure you mount the TV to should minimally be rated to hold that weight.
