Each feature a 1/4" CCD image sensor with a 3.6mm lens for clear video with 480 TV lines. Selectable resolutions (NTSC: 510 x 492 and PAL: 628 x 582) and selectable shutter speeds (NTSC: 1/60 - 1/100,000 and PAL: 1/50 - 1/100,000).
12 IR LEDs
Provide night vision up to 65'.
Day/night mode
Automatically switches the picture to black-and-white in low light conditions.

For optimal viewing from multiple vantage points.

500GB Serial ATA hard drive
Records H.264 video format for reveiwing at a later time. Expandable up to 2TB.
Selectable recording resolutions
Include 704 x 480 at 30 fps (NTSC), 704 x 576 at 25 fps (PAL), 704 x 240 at 60 fps (NTSC), 352 x 288 at 50 fps (PAL), 352 x 240 at 120 fps (NTSC) and 352 x 288 at 100 fps (PAL).

Allows you to multitask for convenience.
Ethernet LAN with an RJ-45 connector
For remote access (requires a high-speed Internet connection and router, not included). Supported network protocols include TCP/IP, DDNS and UPnP.

DVR a lemon

Camera's at night even work better with porch/patio/garage lighting. This DVR was a lemon...had it three days.... so I cannot rate this system as a whole. The DVR would record and that is it. The menu did not work, remote, the stop button etc. Camera's were a bit difficult to put into the attic, tight places and trying to run them through a wall and setting it up so it wouldn't look rigged was challenging. With the DVR our store had (we had to call customer relations with Best Buy, the GM at our store had poor customer service skills and wouldn't really help us) to give us another DVR out of another Swann system box. This one works great and it is not the same model.

Overall a smart investment!

Excellent Camera System

This one has the best video clarity, frame rate, and I can view it from my iPhone or wherever I've got an Internet connection. This is an investment that paid for itself several times over.

Netview configuration was a little past my knowledge but support was very helpful and call was answered fast, less than 1 minute wait! The iphone app was easy to setup and works well. It has controls for ptz cameras but no search or playback features only live view. Netview has live, search, playback, and ptz controls. Netview also has all menu options and function controls as the dvr for full remote control.

Great system

It is basically a plug and play system. The Manuel is a little miss leading in my opinion and could be a little more user friendly. With that said the hardest part was running the wires from outside into the attic and to the dvr. It took me about 3 hours and I had the system running on my tv, computer and 2 iPhones. This is a great system and well worth the money. The cameras work great and have a great picture. Good job to the developers at swann!
