The camera's are clear even at night. Camera's at night even work better with porch/patio/garage lighting. This DVR was a lemon...had it three days.... so I cannot rate this system as a whole. The DVR would record and that is it. The menu did not work, remote, the stop button etc. Camera's were a bit difficult to put into the attic, tight places and trying to run them through a wall and setting it up so it wouldn't look rigged was challenging. With the DVR our store had (we had to call customer relations with Best Buy, the GM at our store had poor customer service skills and wouldn't really help us) to give us another DVR out of another Swann system box. This one works great and it is not the same model.

II think the Swann Security system is perfect for small businesses and home security they are well made, provide good quality image, night vision equipped, However it has a lot of wires to mess with! Overall a smart investment!

I've tried all of the top rated, even $1000+, camera systems. This one has the best video clarity, frame rate, and I can view it from my iPhone or wherever I've got an Internet connection. This is an investment that paid for itself several times over.

Easy to setup for viewing and recording. Netview configuration was a little past my knowledge but support was very helpful and call was answered fast, less than 1 minute wait! The iphone app was easy to setup and works well. It has controls for ptz cameras but no search or playback features only live view. Netview has live, search, playback, and ptz controls. Netview also has all menu options and function controls as the dvr for full remote control.

I purchased this system on 9/14. This morning I set out to install it. It is basically a plug and play system. The Manuel is a little miss leading in my opinion and could be a little more user friendly. With that said the hardest part was running the wires from outside into the attic and to the dvr. It took me about 3 hours and I had the system running on my tv, computer and 2 iPhones. This is a great system and well worth the money. The cameras work great and have a great picture. Good job to the developers at swann!

It is worth the money. The night vision is awesome. I had purchased the Night Owl and returned because it was awful.

So far I Love it, But I would let the public know how long the camera cord is.

It was a pain to set up / never did get it online for remote viewing/Tech support was always a call back and leave a message .. but they never did return our calls / We had a home issue and really needed the surveillance but I just found out the Hard drive died after 4 months and had nothing but real time
