Q: I'm trying to understand how this works? You plug 1 into your modem, so does that automatically extend my coverage or do I need a 2nd one at the other end of my house? I have a 1650 sq ft home. Is 1 sufficient or do you AlLWAYS have to have at least 2?

A: You can use one, two, as many as you need (up to 10 total) depending on your networking needs. One Deco unit must be connected via Ethernet to your modem; the other unit(s) can be connected via WiFi or Ethernet. Regards, TP-Link Support

Q: I currently have a Google On-Hub. Will this work in conjunction with it?

A: That would depend on what you mean by "in conjunction". The Deco Mesh WiFi system is designed to provide reliable, seamless WiFi connectivity for your home with convenient management via the Deco app. If you have any questions regarding which product is best suited for your networking needs, please email [email protected] and we'll gladly have a Support Agent follow up with you directly. Thank you, TP-Link Support [email protected]

Q: Is this add-on unit compatible with the newer AC2200 deco system?

A: Yes it is. You would simply install it as an additional wireless access point configured via the app on your smartphone. I've done it this way at my residence.

Q: Is one unit sufficient to cover a 970 square foot, two bedroom apartment?

A: Certainly! Each Deco M5 unit is designed to cover up to 1,500 square feet. As long as the Deco unit is placed optimally (as central as possible in the apartment), you'll be ready to enjoy robust WiFi connectivity in your home. Regards, TP-Link Support

Q: Does the Deco connect to the modem through Ethernet?

A: yes, it connects to your modem with an ethernet cable that comes with the Deco.

Q: Is this compatible with xfinity

A: Yes, simply connect your cable modem to the primary Deco unit and follow the setup steps on the Deco app. Regards, TP-Link Support
