Vornado..... A Heater? YES!!

I bought Vornado and set it on 70. it always keeps the room 70, is quiet and I think it's added $10 a month to our bill? it's great, as they say it circulates the air and keeps it at your set temperature. I Have No complaints, it's another great Vornado Product!!!

Broke after about a month

This is the only means of heat I have for my office.It was not dropped and nothing happened to it; this happened after normal use. They are going to replace it, but I was shocked at how cheaply made this is for an expensive unit. I went to the extra expense because I thought this was a quality heater that would last. Not worth it. I recommend going for cheaper model.

Toasty but not for long.

We'd easily carry it to a room or area of our house to make it more toasty. The on-button began sticking about a month into owning the heater. It eventually got stuck down and rendered the unit useless - didn't even make it a year. When it worked, this is a great unit but now that it's broken and out of Best Buy's warranty - it's useless so I can't recommend it. I would avoid the Vornado brand in general because of this experience.

Great for small rooms

Safety cutoff is very sensitive - kills it at slightest movement - esp good feature for use with little kids. Only 4 b/c of relatively high price for performance.

- A:Answer It’s part of the auto-climate of the product to turn off if the room temperature is 3° or more than the setpoint, as the unit has already attained the set temperature and then some, it doesn’t need to heat any more until the unit reads a lower room temperature; based upon the set point.

Q: QuestionCan I use a smart outlet to control this heater? My question is if I turn the outlet on, will the heater come on or do I need to push the power button on the heater? I want to have the heater run from 4am to 5am via the smart outlet.

- A:Answer Once power is shut off it requires a manual re-start. This includes the safety pressure plate on the bottom of the device.
