A: Heater is not hot to the touch. I have a large dog and 4 kids, it will automatically shut off if tipped over.
A: As an owner of this unit, which has only been a couple of weeks now, it works just fine. I can set the temp at whatever I choose to and it will maintain that temp no matter if it's on high or low. It seems however that once you set the temp on low the unit will work a little harder, which I think it goes on high until the temp is reached and then maintains the temp when the unit is sit on low. This is just fine with me and will save a little on the power bill. The unit maintains the temp at whatever you set it to as well and maintains it with little trouble. I would recommend this unit to any of my friends!
