Q: does this come with the board screws for mounting?
A: Nope! Nothing inside the box besides the m.2 drive
A: This is a 2280 size, meaning that it is 22mm wide and 80mm (3.15 inches) long.
Q: Can I use this to hook up to my TV and basically have a working desktop computer?
A: Yes, as long as you get all the other parts to a computer as well. Otherwise no, thats not how an SSD works.
A: Simple answer is no. For a functioning computer you need specific things. Computer Mother Board, CPU, Cooling, RAM, hard drive to boot OS, and some type of graphics card. Some CPU's have built in integrated graphics but those are not intended for things like gaming and video editing.
A: It will not. Only a PCIe 4.0 M2 NVMe SSD will work for the expandable storage in the PS5.
A: Yes, it should be okay without it. I have one in my pc without a heat sink, have not seen any concerns over the last few months. You can probably get a heat sink for it directly from WD or from stores doing a search online.
A: Legion 5 laptops typically have two M.2 slots that support NVMe SSD cards of this size. WD Black SN750 SSDs will fit and work well. For clearance just be sure to avoid the version with a factory installed heat sink.
Q: Does this include the screws needed to screw it into the motherboard?
A: Hi Nick, Please know that the screws to attach the drive with the motherboard usually comes with the motherboard's case or in a plastic pouch with the computer. Each Motherboard manufacturer uses their own specifications for the Standoff screw's pitch and TPI. You can use the 3M screw to connect the M.2 SSD with the motherboard.Need Help?
