  • Features
    • Hard Food Disposer: false (This feature has blades to chop and disintegrate hard food particles, making them small enough to easily drain away. This prevents them from being recirculated back onto dishware and allows for easy maintenance.)
    • Drying Method: Heated drying (Appliances that use heat to dry the dishes will include a heating element or minerals which transform moisture into heat. A fan or vent then circulates the hot dry air throughout the tub during the drying cycle. This may reduce drying time and the risk of water spots. Appliances that use minerals to produce heat are considered more energy efficient than those that include a heating element. Appliances that use condensation drying are considered more energy efficient than those that use heated drying. Instead, high temperature water is produced during the final rinse cycle which warms the interior and eventually condensates and drains out of the machine.)

Dishwasher Buying Guide

  • Cycle memory: Quickly start your dishwasher with one button. It automatically remembers the last cycle you picked so it's stored and ready to go.
  • Cycle status indicator: The full lit display glows for wash, drain, drying, sanitized and clean along with the time in hours and minutes so there's no need to guess when your dishes will be ready.
  • Flexible loading options: Adjustable upper basket, folding tines and split & fit silverware basket.
  • 24-hour delay-start: Lets you set the dishwasher to start running while you're working, sleeping or running errands.
  • Adjustable upper rack: Manually raise or lower the upper rack two inches to better fit tall items.
  • Stainless steel interior door: Provides durability in use and more hygienic.
  • Accommodates up to 15 place settings: Generous interior space means more clean dishes, fewer loads.
  • NSF Certified sanitization option: Ensures hygienic results.
  • Fan dry: Get cabinet-dry dishes straight from the dishwasher with a fan to push out moist air while helping pull in fresh, dry air.
  • High temperature wash option: Gives items like baby bottles, glassware or dishes a more thorough clean.
  • Heated dry option: Use a clean, dry dish straight from the dishwasher thanks to added heat for drying. For optimal drying results, use this option with rinse aid.
  • Sensor Cycle: Automatically selects the right wash and dry settings for your load by using two separate sensors to measure temperature, soil level and load size once during the prewash and once during the wash cycle.
  • Normal Cycle: Use for normal amounts of food soil to clean up leftover messes from your day-to-day meals.
  • 1-Hour Wash Cycle: Cleans dishes in half the time compared to Normal cycle with lightly soiled loads so your plates, pans and glasses are thoroughly cleaned up and taken care of in just an hour.
  • Heavy Cycle: Take care of heavily-soiled messes and other hard-to-clean dishes without the extra elbow grease by adding extra time to the cycle.

Q: I have a 1 inch overhang from my counter top. Would this interfere with accessibility to the controls? Would I have to have the door partially open in order to access the controls? Could this interfere with access to the controls during wash cycle?

A: The overhang does interfere a little with the view of the buttons when it’s closed, in my opinion. This hasn’t led to any major issues for me. I usually choose the wash cycle while the door is up but not closed, then immediately close it and hit the “start button”. It’s not hard to reach but the wording on the buttons is slightly covered. A mild inconvenience for a dishwasher that i otherwise like. I’ve just gotten into the habit of selecting my wash cycle while I’m swinging it shut.

Q: who makes Whirlpool?

A: Hi Annnie, thank you for your inquiry on this Whirlpool - 24" Built-In Dishwasher. Whirlpool® makes this Dishwasher. Our global headquarters is actually located in Benton Harbor, Michigan and we have more than 17,500 employees making appliances in the United States. In fact, 80 percent of Whirlpool® Corporation appliances are made in the United States and sold in the United States. We make more appliances in the U.S. than any other appliance manufacturer. Please let us know if you have any additional questions!

Q: Is the front shiny/glossy or matte? Thanks

A: This is a matte finish. More of a fingerprint proof stainless steel. Pricture for reference next to a Maytag that is a shiny finish.

Q: I do not see the option for fan dry. I ran the 1 hour cycle and the dishes were still wet. Is fan dry the same as heat dry?

A: Hello Alir! Fan Dry would use a fan instead of heat to dry the dishes. Please make sure that you are using a Rinse Aid with your unit. Your dishwasher is designed to use rinse aid for good drying performance. Without rinse aid, your dishes and dishwasher interior will have excessive moisture. The Heat Dry option will not perform as well without rinse aid. For most water conditions, the factory setting will give good results. However, if you are experiencing poor drying performance, you may want to try a higher setting. Turn the arrow adjuster inside the dispenser to change rinse aid setting.

Q: With the white color option is the handle a stainless steel color or white?

A: Hi HollyCo, the handle on this model is white. We hope this helps!
