Q: IS the XFX card layout the same as the reference card?
A: obviously not, look at the images... also measurements say its going to be a bit longer, RAM specs and stuff are the same though

A: Because most of these people scalping are the industry themselves. Gamestop, NewEgg, Amazon...the vendors. But it gets worse...even MSI were caught scalping. And mysterious truckloads of GPUs go "missing" at their plants overseas...likely to be taken to an undisclosed location and sold, via, scalping. It's not illegal...yet. Not like scalping tickets were outlawed. So no laws are being broken...only their reputation... if they are caught. But people soon forget...as long as they can buy one. You should also look up the video game vendor (the one I mentioned above) scalping reports on Youtube it's highly interesting. It's enlightening. People lined up waiting for doors to open, but employees and everyone up the chain already bought them all, as all they need are a name and number and some cash down to reserve. In googling I even found an instance back in 2011(?) when a GS employee literally told the customer "It's not for sale...I plan on buying and reselling that for over twice as much..." in reference to a rare collectable figurine.
