  • Key Specs
    • Recommended Room Size: 700 square feet (The recommended area size in which the product is designed to operate and produce optimal results, such as the desired heating or cooling. Generally, running a unit too big or too small for the space will result in ineffective operation and wasted energy.)
    • DOE SACC Cooling Power: 7500 british thermal units (The Seasonally Adjusted Cooling Capacity (SACC), implemented by the Department of Energy (DOE) after 2017, is a rating of a portable AC unit's cooling power. This rating is based on revised testing that more accurately measures a portable unit's performance, taking into account that these units do not vent heat in the same way as wall or window units and therefore were not cooling as effectively as the previous BTU ratings indicated (based on the ASHRAE-128 standard prior to 2017). Generally, the new cooling power ratings are lower than previous BTU ratings and can more reasonably be compared to the cooling capacities of other types of AC units.)
    • Number of Cool Settings: 3
    • Number of Fan Speeds: 3
    • Airflow Rate: 194 cubic feet per minute
    • Remote Control: true
    • Integrated Heater: false
    • Sleep Mode: false (Enabling this mode sets the unit to first reach the desired temperature, then gradually increase the temperature over a period of time until it reaches a new set temperature, typically several degrees higher than the initial cool setting. This mode helps save energy while keeping the room comfortable.)
    • Timer: true
    • Auto Shut-Off: true (Feature automatically turns off the product.)
    • Window Venting Kit: true (Indicates whether supplies for venting the unit through a window are included.)
    • Energy Efficiency Ratio: 10 (The ratio of output BTUs (British Thermal Units) to input electrical energy (watts) at a given operating point. Generally, the higher the number, the more efficient the unit. Though higher efficiency units are typically more expensive upfront, they may offset the price in energy costs over time.)
    • Air Conditioner Type: Portable
    • Hose Configuration: Dual (Generally, dual hose configurations are more efficient and better suited for cooling larger areas. Single hose configurations typically consume less energy and are best for cooling smaller spaces.)

The Honeywell Classic series dual hose portable air conditioner combines 3-in-1 technology into one sleek body, cooling and dehumidifying areas up to 550-700 square feet. It features an auto-evaporation system, a reliable dehumidifying function as well as a traditional three-speed fan only function delivering optimum cooling, dehumidification and fresh ventilation. The full-function remote control allows you to operate each feature from across the room. Unlike a fixed air conditioner unit, the Honeywell Portable Air Conditioner requires no permanent installation and the smooth-gliding caster wheels provide easy mobility from room to room. This portable air conditioner comes with everything needed including dual flexible exhaust hoses and an easy-to-install window venting kit. The window vent can be removed when the unit is not in use.

Q: This unit is advertised for 500 to 700 sq feet However is only 7500 BTU, Question no where does 7500 BTU cool 700 square feet, Please explain how you can advertise this unit?

A: The 7500 BTU given is the new SACC (DOE 2107 Standard) BTU value. The "traditional" BTU value of the system is closer to 14,000. I am not a professional AC technician, but it seems that the lower number tries to take into account the fact that portable AC units usually have an inherent design flaw of pushing air outside of the house, causing negative pressure that result in air from outside finding its way in - reducing the effectiveness of the unit. However, I don't think this take into account the fact that this is a dual hose unit, which basically makes that problem go away. I think

Q: What is the starting wattage? What is the running wattage ? These specifications required to verify that my Honda Eu3000S1AG 3000-Watt Gasoline Portable Inverter Generator Model #EU3000S1AG can handle the unit

A: It is 14000 BTU and runs off regular household current, 120vac. Your 3000 watt generator should have zero issues with running it. The max watts it draws is likely listed in the manufacturers specs. I personally would not hesitate to run it off such a generator. I would only hook it and 1 or 2 other items to the generator though.

Q: Is this thing 120 VAC?

A: Yes. It plugs into a standard three prong (grounded) outlet. Don't use an extension cord.

Q: Is this unit 110 volt

A: This is 115V unit, 14,000 btu

Q: Does this unit have automatic restart? Automatically resumes operating at its previous setting when power is restored?

A: Hello, Yes, this unit automatically restores its previous settings when power is restored. Please feel free to write to us at [email protected] for more assistance and support. Thank You !
