It is 14000 BTU and runs off regular household current, 120vac. Your 3000 watt generator should have zero issues with running it. The max watts it draws is likely listed in the manufacturers specs. I personally would not hesitate to run it off such a generator. I would only hook it and 1 or 2 other items to the generator though.
